We have worked with Joseph Douglas Homes for many years and the entire staff is a pleasure to work with. They are a well run company and build quality homes. It doesn't matter if we are doing roofing, siding, gutters or porch work, all their projects are well managed and the end result is always a beautiful new home.

Joseph Douglas Homes did a fabulous job on my basement remodel project. They listened to all my needs and wants with patience and cooperation, very professional to work with. The quality of work and products were exceptional, not just another "local builders store" remodel, high end cabinetry and building supplies. I highly recommend this company and would totally not hesitate to use them again or recommend them for another build or remodel project.

We hired Joseph Douglas Homes to do an entire first-floor home remodel. We were told the project would take approximately twelve weeks from start to finish. We were very skeptical of this time frame due to the amount of work that was to be done, but JDH was able to get the project completed in twelve weeks and three days. We had walls torn down, windows and a patio door relocated, parts of our ceiling replaced, and a fireplace was completely removed. New appliances were installed, new flooring throughout, and walls painted, etc. Workers showed up early every day and worked an entire day. They were very professional, worked hard, and they worked fast. Details were worked out prior to starting the job and any changes made were thoroughly discussed and agreed upon before moving forward. All in all, we are completely satisfied with the job JDH has done and wouldn't hesitate to have them do other projects for us when the time comes.

We built a home with Joseph Douglas Builders and could not be happier that we did. We never thought that we could have made building a reality, especially at a budget we needed to be mindful of. Deron and his staff did a tremendous job with giving us a solid product and was careful about our concerns with our budget as well. In the end we got a great house and a payment with our mortgage that we can afford. We would refer anyone to Joseph Douglas for their homebuilding needs.

Added a large second story master bath, with walk-in shower, twin pedestal sinks, make-up counter, storage and soaking tub. The craftsmanship was excellent. The project was finished on time and on budget. We were extremely happy with the workmanship and service. We would highly recommend Joseph Douglas Homes.

Deron and team at Joseph Douglas were great to work with. They helped develop my vision of an addition to the second story of my home, combining both their ideas and my ideas in a completed project that all sides could be happy with. It was important to me that who I was working with was going to give my ideas serious consideration and meld them into the final product. Despite some initial hiccups in getting the project started that were outside of Joseph Douglas' control, the project moved ahead smoothly and swiftly. I was updated on a regular basis as to what was going on and Deron and team were cooperative as changes were made to plans/ideas as the project progressed. Upon completion of the project, I was provided with a detailed listing of project costs, noting the differences between what was originally budgeted and the final cost. Throughout, I was updated of where we were starting to see overages, but the final cost comparison was nice to have for review of those numbers. In at least one case where what was budgeted for an item was significantly different from the end cost, Joseph Douglas was willing to absorb some of the overage, acknowledging that their initial estimate may not have considered all the angles affecting that item.

It is with pleasure that I recommend Deron Butler and Joseph Douglas Homes and Remodeling. Deron was there from start to finish with constant communication and helpful advice. The quality of the workmanship done by the various vendors remodeling our kitchen was superb. Ours was a small remodel of new kitchen counters, backsplash, built in oven, sink and lighting fixtures. Work was done efficiently, on time and finished with a quality product. Deron has gone over and above what was necessary to ensure that our remodel went smoothly and was done in the time we agreed upon. He even came back to the house after the remodel when we had a backup with our disposal and spent 3 hours fixing the issue. He didn't have to do this, but this is the kind of service that Deron provides. It is without hesitation that I would recommend Joseph Douglas to others. I brought in 9 contractors for my kitchen remodeling project because this was all new to me and I wanted to compare estimates. I chose Joseph Douglas not only because I found their estimate to be fair, but because they were willing to help me decide the best way to remodel. I knocked down an entire kitchen wall which didn't leave me much room to put a stove in my small kitchen. Where other contractors couldn't come up with suitable solutions, Joseph Douglas brought in workable ideas. And they laid them out on paper in diagrams so I had visuals of their ideas. I was very impressed and went with one. As things progressed, I changed and added work. Joseph Douglas continued to work with me. I never felt they were trying to gorge me financially, feeling they were always considerate of my pocketbook. Things pretty much stayed in the time frame that I was given. Though not without incident, I was always treated with respect and kept informed of what was going on. I really feel that Joseph Douglas went over and beyond what other contractors were willing to do for me. AND when I had issues, they were promptly addressed. My kitchen project is done and I am 100% satisfied with it. I love it so much that I hired Joseph Douglas to remodel my bathroom. I checked a few other contractors out as well, but they just couldn't compare to price or satisfaction. Now I have a dream bathroom to go with my dream kitchen.

Joseph Douglass Homes built a home for my family 15 years ago. They also consulted for us on our basement finish. Now, several years later, JDH is building a lake home for us. We continue to come to JDH because of the professionalism and craftsmanship. But also, perhaps most importantly, because of of the integrity. We have entrusted JDH to bring our visions to reality, and we have not been disappointed. Besides being skillful at their craft, they have shown a consistent pragmatism that has helped guide us through the process each time, so that we could be confident in our decisions along the way. Our third project with JDH is just getting underway, so we will be excited to share current photos soon!

The entire process from design and bidding through construction went very smoothly. We added a great room off of our kitchen, redesigned our laundry room and mud room into one large room with cubbies for the kids, added a second floor bedroom and a wrap around deck. We had an expediter onsite almost daily who was instrumental in managing the project around the daily activities of our family of five. With so many rooms being touched by the project, knowing the schedule and being confident those tasks would be completed as scheduled, allowed us to continue living in our house during the entire processes. We felt that all of our questions and concerns throughout the project were addressed quickly and to our satisfaction. All of the subs used on the project were courteous and obviously used to working with each other rather than around each other. We are very satisfied with the end result and would not hesitate to use Joseph Douglas Homes again on a future project.

Joseph Douglas did a great job taking our ideas/design layouts and working with us to create a final design that was within our budget. They came up with improvements for things we hadn't thought about (For example the bottom corner of the steps to the upstairs we wanted would have jutted too far into the hallway so they designed a barrel ceiling in the hallway that ended up being a cool looking architectural highlight). The final price was within 1% of contract due to working with us in the design phase on ALL aspects/selections! Very calm and listened well to resolve/correct any issues when either something wasn't quite like I envisioned it (Envisioning something on a piece of paper is different than physically seeing it in real life), or working around my vacations, or coming up with solutions for unforeseen events like a super high water table. Did such a great job that hired them to build a second (detached) garage a couple years later.

Joseph Douglas and staff did a wonderful job remodeling our kitchen! They were a pleasure to work with. We would recommend them to anyone.
