John Erdmann built Terra Tec out of a dream. As a kid growing up in Wisconsin, he tended to rose gardens, planted annual beds and mowed lawns. While studying at the University of Wisconsin, he worked as a landscaper. He gained valuable experience in all capacities of installation including grading, wall construction, paving and planting on both new and existing sites. Through these experiences he found his true passion. And his passion became Terra Tec. An award-winning landscape company that makes dreams and expectations come true. John has continued to enhance his expertise in hardscaping, stonework and land contouring. As the company has grown, he’s surrounded himself with a team of experts in landscape architecture, horticulture and forestry. They too share his passion for making dreams come true for discriminating homeowners throughout Southeast Wisconsin.

Why can't I give 0 stars, that is what this company should get. We contracted with Terra Tec and it was one of the worst decisions I have ever made in my life. They cut every corner and not only did they do a poor job, but they are not giving any warranty on their work. I never asked for money back, just to get it done right, and John does not honor his contracts. Horrible, horrible work. Just run away form this John Erdman and his company unless you want rocks in your grass, dead trees, pools of water from improper grading, and stone work that looks like a kid did it. Seriously, who doesn't know that a firepit should be round and not egg shaped?

I would highly recommend Terra Tec for any landscaping needs. We used them for our driveway, hard and green landscaping. Our driveway is gorgeous (we did textured concrete with a border) and we can't wait to use the patio this summer. John Erdmann went through all of our plans in detail so we know what we were getting. The workers were courteous and neat. We have a beautiful yard to play in thanks to Terra Tec!

We worked directly with the owner from the very beginning of our new construction landscaping project. Even before we signed any contract, John helped us obtain free fill to complete the building of our house. John spent a significant amount of time consulting, planning and designing our project, all while making sure it accommodated our budget. Our project ended up taking longer than anticipated solely because of unforeseen weather conditions. We were always informed of any revised timelines. All of the workers were friendly and the foremans were available to answer our onsite questions and make any desired changes. The end result turned out amazing and we are looking forward to enjoying many years in our beautifully landscaped yard. Thanks, Terra Tec!

Terra Tec did an amazing job on our project. We had difficult terrain to work with, so they had to hand carry many large rock steps and equipment. They showed up with a team of workers and got the job done quickly. They cleaned up the area when they were done and repaired any surrounding beds that were disturbed in the process.

My husband and I hired Terra Tec after our house was built. We interviewed several landscape firms and decided on Terra Tec. The staff at Terra Tec were informative, knowledgeable, and were readily available when we had questions. We also liked the fact that Terra Tec does every aspect of landscaping, from design, driveways, lighting, patios, fire pits and much more. We would recommend Terra Tec to anyone who's looking for a durable, quality, and beautiful landscape!

We are currently using Terra Tec for our new home landscaping. They have finished our front yard including the driveway and stone posts with lights. The front project looks great! The work was performed on time and finished as expected. They are currently working on a huge project in our back yard to include retaining walls, a fire pit and a Pergola covered patio. The men have been here 6 days a week working long days-very impressive! We have been very satisfied with the work of Terra Tec.

I hired TerraTec to do all of our landscaping and our driveway (new construction). We are very satisfied with their high quality work. They were responsive and reliable, although some times I felt that they were probably working on too many projects at the same time. Overall, we had a very good experience working with this company.

John Erdmann and Terra Tec landscaping get my highest recommendation. I rarely complete things like this but in this case I felt as though I had to. We built a new home and while I would give the home builder a B I would give Terra Tec an A+. What you can expect is professionalism, straight answers, great ideas, ingenuity and quality work done on time and at a very reasonable price. We went with Terra Tec for our landscape construction after our home was built and we still get comments from random people on how they like it. We also use Terra Tec for seasonal maintenance and they are just as good with that as well. Again, you can't go wrong with them!

We have had Terra Tec for 17 years do all our landscape work. Plus they do our lake place as well. All I can say is we have completely put our trust in all of their work.The people they have working for them are great.
