John is a consummate professional and a believer in karma. Even when his work availability no longer matched my needs, he's a man of his word and met to give me a quote regardless. I look forward to some good sub-contractor referrals from him and hope to work on future projects together.

John is thoroughly professional, does meticulous work, gives extremely good suggestions, is a delight to work with. He's done work for me for the past 10 years, ever since I remodeled two kitchens, re-roofed the house, and installed thermal windows..

John has redone kitchens in two houses, bathrooms, a complete addition of a third floor, and deck. His work is impeccable. He is easy to work with, hires good subcontractors, shows up on time and works within budget.

John is the consummate professional. We have hired him for projects ranging from high level carpentry and woodworking to damage control/repair and he has always been amazing to work with. The finished product is always top notch and he always communicates clearly and effectively throughout every project; answering any and all questions/conveying all necessary info. Through him we have also been connected to a solid group of other contractors who we hire for our roof work, stain work, etc... I cannot recommend John Langwig & Company Inc. enough for any of the projects on your to-do list.

I am a real estate invester and have used John on numerous renovations on my properties. He shows up when he says hes going to show up and does what he is contracted to do very well and on time. He is a great G.C.and a fine finish carpenter .I highly recommend him.

John Langwig and his group renovated 2 bathrooms for us and we were extremely satisfied with their work. They are professional, pleasant, hardworking, and highly skilled both in terms of design and technical aspects of their work. They completed the bathrooms in a timely manner and minimized the inconvenience to my family. John carefully coordinates all parts of the project and cares deeply about quality and customer satisfaction. He returned promptly even after the job was completed when we had a concern about a few tiles, and these were repaired immediately. He was accurate in his estimate and we felt that his prices were reasonable given the quality of the work. We have referred John to several other friends who have similarly been happy with the service they received. We would have no reservation in hiring John Langwig & Company again for future home renovations.

We have worked with John numerous times. Specifically he has done 4 major projects for us. First he totally renovated our kitchen, which is spectacular. Secondly, he renovated one of our bathrooms. Thirdly, he helped us resolve a serious infestation of drain flies, which are insidious, rapidly multiplying, small flies that breed in muck in a drain trap, pipe break etc. either inside and outside. We own a 3 story townhouse with a crawl space beneath and our 1st floor became infested with flies to the point that we were killing in excess of 500 per day. It is not an extermination job because to defeat them one has to remove the muck that holds the larvae. John did an excellent job of making a trapdoor to the crawl space, tracking the pipes for a break, removing the infested area, removing the infested insulation and all of the carpentry and plumbing that went with it while working in a 24" to 30" high crawl space. He is now finishing renovation of our entire third floor. Working with John is a pleasure as he is cost efficient, pleasant, on schedule, thorough, has a great group of subs, has a keen sense of layout and function and maintains a very good schedule during a project. The best!

John helped me out after i had serious damage from two pipes bursting in my house and he was terrific! He appreciated when I wanted to have a say in things, as well as when I asked him to just make all the decisions (for instance about finding me good quality but inexpensive lights for my basement). One example of the quality of his work is that he installed a wood floor in a room that lost it's floor from the flooding and it matched beautifully with the floors right next tot he room that had been there for over 30 years. Further, he found painters and other professionals whose work was excellent and prices quite reasonable.

John Langwig & Co. Inc. gets my highest recommendation. As a landlord with four separate properties, John has worked on a number of my projects. Each project was completed on time and I always have felt as though the expertise and professionalism was well worth the cost. Also, unlike other contractors I have worked with in the past, John has always left the jobsite tidy on a day to day basis with usually just one debris pile until the job was completed. My latest experience, was with four small jobs on three different properties that John took care of very efficiently.

John Langwig is somebody you remember. He is the contractor who shows up every day, and worries more about the project than the customer. He is the carpenter who actually reads drawings and asks questions to make sure the detail is correct. I've worked with John on projects large and small and never had a complaint. He has a great rapport with homeowners and I feel comfortable recommending him to anyone.

In our previous house, John renovated our kitchen, bathroom and added a third floor. In our current house, he redid our kitchen, remodeled a sunroom, as well as other projects. His work is impeccable, he is a pleasure to work with, honest, and timely. He also hires great subs. John is a true craftsman.

John Langwig did extensive work, over the course of several projects and many years, on my house in Belmont, Massachusetts. I need to stress several points. First, absolutely every detail was executed with extraordinary excellence. This includes everything that was physically done by the other trades he brought to the job as general contractor because John Langwig selects his sub-contractors with great care and sophistication. Second, it was a genuine pleasure to work with John Langwig as well as with each of his sub-contractors. A craftsman who is performing on the very highest level creates an exhilarating atmosphere of high achievement, of the broadest range of possibilities, and basic fun. When John Langwig comes to work that's the heady atmosphere you'll be immersed in. In contrast with the typical reaction of "it can't be done," one of the qualities John looks for in a sub-contractor is the opposite, namely: "how am I going to do it?" Third, like all of the very best in any profession, John Langwig is an excellent student. He's not just a student of his craft. He's also a student of the client. He applies his ability to teach himself important lessons, his superb listening skills, together with his vast sophistication in a wide range of areas, to understand what the client is trying to achieve, most often in ways that are more concrete, and more detailed, than the client (or designer/architect) was able to.
