I can be really picky about what I'm looking for and what I'm not, and Jo is not only patient with me, she's full of ideas for when I feel like I'm out of options. I do not know how I would have gotten through my 80% home renovation project if she had not been there. She guided me though the logistical and aesthetic choices involved with building a new kitchen, gently guided me to make selections that complemented each other in bathrooms and with lighting choices, and even facilitated custom construction of laundry room drying rack drawers with the insert builder and the cabinet maker after we worked out a plan for it together. She has both a good eye and a strong ability to coordinate jobs with contractors, tilers, window treatment makers and installers, project managers, painters, and more. She is ready to tell you on the rare occasion that you're better off paying slightly more for a higher quality product, but she will stick to your budget. She'll tell you when you're coming up on a deadline as part of a big project, but otherwise she'll let you set your own timetable. (The house renovation was completed in 2020, but I still see Jo for smaller touches and finishes jobs because my schedule had to slow down significantly after we moved in amid covid and the throes of new parenthood. She has been nothing but understanding about my snail's pace.)

I recently had the pleasure of working with Jo Cook again. My husband and I purchased a new home and Jo was instrumental in helping us with selecting shutters, closet design and fabrication. When she commits to a time-line she always come in early or meets the established dead-line. She is a pleasure to work with and is extremely professional. I would recommend her design expertise to anyone building or moving into a new home.

I hired Jo to help me with design/decor decisions for my remodel project. I tend to get overwhelmed with too many options and she was able to take a look at what my current style was, ask me questions to find out where I think I was headed and could quickly pick out the things I needed. And all her choices were perfect! And she was also able to step in when the contractor made some mistakes and then tried to convince me that it was fine. She has enough experience to step in and make sure they did the right thing. So glad! And, she was fun to work with and definitely a great designer. I've since recommended her to friends who have also used her and have been very happy. Jo also knew the builders and some of their crew from previous jobs which was nice because that gave them a level of trust between each other that was invaluable.

Jo worked closely with me as we were building our house. She spent quite a bit of time learning my taste, and helped to identify type of decor that appealed to me. Apparently, I have a penchant for a light Tuscan look! She was able to narrow down the infinite possibilities of housing selections from door knobs to lighting fixtures, from kitchen cabinets to faucets, and made the process less overwhelming and more manageable. She also has an eye for fabrics & window treatments. We were able to reuse many treatments from my previous home with just a bit of rework, and she was able to effectively blend new treatments in. She knows who to call to have custom window treatments created, chairs reupholstered, pillows made, etc. I highly recommend Jo as she is the first person I turn to with home decor questions & issues, and does a fabulous job.

After finding Jo on Houzz and having her into our new home to help pick paint colors my fiance and I were very happy with her services. She took the time to understand our ideas for the home and color tendencies, then worked with us to pick colors that not only looked sharp in the each room but that worked together throughout the house. This process was completed over two visits. After the initial meeting and walkthrough where we narrowed down colors, during the second visit Jo brought sample of the short list colors and we made final choices. Jo then provided a write up of our final decisions. Jo provided exactly what she said she would at the price and in the timeframe we had intially discussed. She was very personable and pleasurable to be around, and has made herself available for any follow up questions with quick responses. Best of all, we were very happy with her color choices.

Jo was amazing!! She assisted me with my dining room and patio and it came out fabulous! She was always on top of all my orders and she was always on time to all our appointments. She also gets allot done in little time. She has a great eye and ideas. I will continue to work with her.

What can I say, Jo Cook is amazing!! I met Jo back in 2006 for a consultation and what I got was far more than that.... Jo educated me on design, fabrics and painting techniques. I ended up selecting various fabric and had Livingroom, Family room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom custom window treatments made. I also had a custom comforter and pillows set made for my bed which are still so beautiful. I had various rooms in the house painted...some faux, some textured, and some strie. All the walls turned out beautiful and really created the feel in my home I was looking for. In my bedroom I had a beautiful tree painted on one of my walls which is still by far my favorite special design. Without question, I'd recommend Jo for any job; small or large.

Jo has worked in our home for many years. We originally hired her for a total home renovation in our Back Bay Brownstone, and over the years, she has worked on many additional projects. She has acted as the Project Manager and Owner's Representative as well as Interior Designer on all of the projects. Along with developing the design concept, she is involved with the hiring and over-seeing of many of the subcontractors. She is dedicated to every project from beginning to end and is great to work with. We are extremely happy with Jo's creativity in the design work she has done for us and would reccommend her to anyone looking to renovate their home.

I have used Jo for over 15 years and in more than one home. She has purchased beautiful furniture and light fixtures on my behalf and is always up on the trendy paint colors. I am also happy to use her sub-contractors that are excellent and reasonable. I highly recommend her company.

My home needed a total make-over. Nothing had been changed in over 15 years. Jo Cook, and her team of professionals, through diligent effort and attention to detail, increased its value considerably. Freshly painted inside and out. New hardwood floors, {maple}. New appliances, gorgeous window treatments, and recessed lighting transformed my boring, dark, and shabby home into a bright, warm, and pleasant place to proudly entertain my Real Estate Clients. Jo Cook was retained as the decorator for a major renovation at our home in Concord,MA Her responsibilities included; -Coordination of activities with architect and general contractor -Input on plans drawn by architect -Meeting with contractors to determine requirements and pricing -Meetings with homeowners to select counter tops,flooring,window treatments, bathroom, kitchen, light fixtures, paint colors etc -Walk through with general contractor to answer questions and make changes as deemed necessary Jo's overall responsibility inc. overseeing entire project while homeowners were away for a substantial amount of time. Jo was very dedicated to the project and was easy to work with. Her pricing was fair and deadlines were met. We couldn't of been more pleased with her professionalism and performance.
