Heritage Painting

Heritage Painting is the worst case scenario in the painting business. They caused more problems than they solved. When owner John Otis came to my home to give an estimate he told me that they would do drywall repair the including: nail pops, bad corner beads, obvious seams, nicks and bumps. At the completion of their work all of the mentioned drywall issues remained. Mr. Otis told me I had chosen a paint color and finish that made these problems stand out. The more I examined the paint job the more disappointed I was with the work that was done. I decided that I needed to contact Mr. Otis and let him know how I felt. He did reply to my email and he did take responsibility for poor workmanship and was sorry that I was dissatisfied. He did not offer a refund or to return to fix the problems. I believe I was taken advantage of from the beginning. By taking his word for what was going to be repaired. The repair work mentioned was not listed on the estimate which I believe was purposely omitted. Being this as the first time I have hired a contractor for work of this nature I have taken this as a learning experience and hope others can learn from this as well.
