McTighe Landscaping made my dream garden come true! After surviving 2 droughts I was left with half a dozen plants, no lawn and a lot of weeds and dust. I called several landscape contractors who either never responded or told me they didn't have time to help me. I went on another search and came across McTighe Landscaping. I love that it was a family business. Father and son and 25+ years of experience. I sent an email and Ryan (Vice-President) responded immediately asking me to give him a call to discuss my project. I called. We had a great conversation and Ryan made an appointment for us to meet the next afternoon. He actually showed up!!!!!, on time!!!!, which in my experience is not always the case. I gave him the tour. The things that were working, not working, and my dreams. Ryan listened, offered suggestions and opinions, which is exactly what I needed. He and Jeff (President) came back in a couple of days with a written proposal. Every aspect was spelled out in detail. There was no pressure! They were happy to answer questions and discuss different options. I signed the proposal and work began the following week. The crew showed up as promised. Either Ryan or Jeff were at the jobsite every morning. The crew were amazing! Extremely hard workers. Cleaned up at the end of every day. Communication was perfect. I received an email each morning to tell me the plan for the day. In my case, we were working in stages so as not to go above my budget. I was able to get the most important things done and then decide if I wanted to do more. If so, Ryan would give me an additional proposal for the work I was requesting. I could then decide to move forward or not! Again, never any pressure. I feel that they wanted me have what I wanted as much as I did. Two weeks later I have my dream garden. I can't believe my eyes! We very highly recommend McTighe Landscaping. We worked with Ryan to quickly get an initial appointment scheduled with Grant to figure out the details of what we needed. After a discussion of the options, we decided on the path forward and were able to quickly arrange a time for Grant to replace our valves. Ryan provided what we felt was a fair estimate, which matched our bill, and Grant was excellent to work with to get the new valves replaced! Both Grant and Ryan kept us informed on the work and provided us with details on our system to understand additional options for the future. Jeff and Ryan McTighe (father and son team) were wonderful to work with. They were always prompt in responding to questions, comments, problems, etc. Their team of workers was top notch. They were hardworking, professional, and friendly. The job, which included hardscaping, irrigation, planting, and lighting, was completed on schedule with no complications. They were flexible and willing to deal with changes in the plans during the job. Their follow up upon completion has been great; a few tweaks and necessary fixes cropped up and were handled.

The McTighe group is currently working on my project: a removal of old landscaping to replace it with a xeriscape, new hardscaping and native plants. They have been here promptly every morning at 8, worked all day, and are easy to communicate with. The workers are careful and neat, as well as pleasant and friendly. Jeff and Ryan have long experience in landscaping, and it shows. A pleasure to deal with.

I wish a 10 star rating was available because we most definitely would haven given it! We could not have been more pleased working with the McTighe's. Jeff brings years of experience and expertise while the son Ryan is great on the communication & business side. Their crew was clean, respectful, hardworking and really really good at what they do! The full crew showed up every day and either Jeff or Ryan checked in pretty much every day. We had a few minor changes to the original plans and Jeff always accommodated us with a "no problem" attitude. I can not say enough about how Jeff's years of experiance enhanced our design and gave us something far more beautiful than what was on the blueprints! One of the first things Jeff brought up on seeing the property was our drainage issues, and expertly addressed all the problem areas. You could tell that this wasn't really just a job for them but a way to express their creativity in making exceptional outdoor living spaces. We very highly recommend McTighe Landscaping!

McTighe's team worked on two areas of our property. They provided a concrete pathway on one side of our home and a curb + paver installation on the front driveway. Excellent workmanship, prompt response to our questions and concerns plus fair price. Unexpected repairs were addressed and completed by the hardworking crew. Jeff was extremely attentive to our project and provided us with updates and timing throughout the construction period. We definitely hired the right company!

Jeff did an excellent job landscaping our entire backyard which completed in May of 2019. He has deep experience and it shows. From start to finish, he was a pleasure to work with as he was professional, timely and extremely knowledgable and an all around good guy. We had an extensive remodel of our back yard and Jeff McTighe was recommended by our landscape designer. In addition to clearing the area, excavation for water and electricity, Jeff worked with us on the concrete color, tile choices. The hardscape looks great, and the water feature and lighting is exceptional. In addition, Jeff found ways to make the job more cost effective. After the plants went in, the look is just what we envisioned. In addition, Jeff and his crew were fun to work with!

It is difficult to find a high quality, skilled, creative, and responsive contractor. I consider myself very fortunate to have found Jeff and his team and to be able to engage them on my project. They did the full landscaping on my 1/3 acre property. This included site preparation; drainage; hardscape (including concrete walls, steps, and borders, paver patios, stack walls, and pathways); planting from small shrubs to 36" box trees; irrigation, outdoor lighting, and mulch. It was a collaborative process; with Jeff bringing experience-driven, creative ideas and solutions to the table throughout the project. Jeff and his team have created the best room in the house...and it is outside.

Jeff and his crew are such wonderful people and a pleasure to deal with. They took our design for softscape and executed it flawlessly. They're easy going, flexible, and dependable - a breath of fresh air in the service industry nowadays! We love being educated and involved; we have high expectations and extreme attention to detail. Jeff was a terrific designer for my small yard. He understood what needed to be taken out and replaced, and what reconstruction word improve the yard. He removed a very large tree. Re-surfaced 3/4 of the yard , re-planted, and put in a new watering system. He took me with him to purchase plants so that I could choose colors. He discussed the job with me each step of the way. He and his crew were reliable, polite, and a pleasure to have in my yard working.

Jeff McTighe and crew repaired flagstone walkways and steps, installed lighting along paths, paved our driveway and walkway to the back yard, and saw cut holes in our patio where we wanted to plant grape vines. All the design and masonry work was completely professional. Definitely better than just good; it was great. We expect to hire him again at some point to repave the back patio with stone, and to build an Argentine grill. Jeff communicates well, and does what he says he'll do when he says he'll do it. For the quality you receive, his prices are very fair. I recommend him highly.

McTighe Landscaping completely exceeded expectations on our landscaping project in Mountain View. Jeff was an absolute pleasure to work with from the initial estimate through completion. Our project involved transformation of our front and back yards, driveway, and pool area with a mixture of stonework, concrete, a sport court, and diverse plants and trees. Jeff and his team are particularly masterful with stone work. My wife and I were thrilled with the attention to detail, quality, and creativity evident in all aspects of the landscaping. Jeff took complete ownership for the overall project and has the highest standards for his work. He provided a reasonable fixed cost bid prior to starting and stuck to that cost throughout the project. The McTighe crew is extremely efficient. We did a re-do of our backyard after 35 years. We had a basic idea of what we wanted. Jeff took those basic ideas and put them into motion. The end result was amazing. Jeff has the ability to visualize the finished product and make recommendations along the way. My advice is to listen to him -- he knows what he is doing! His staff is the best. I have called a few times for help with the drip system or the timer. The response was timely and professional. This exceptional customer service is very rare these days. We have hired McTighe Landscaping twice now and have been so happy with the results. Jeff did terrific job on our back and front yard landscaping project. We had designs from a landscape designer which included custom concrete planters, stone caps an stucco to an existing knee wall, fence/gate work, artificial grass installation, drip irrigation, and plantings. Jeff and his team did a beautiful job turning the vision into reality (and worked very well with our designer to make some practical modifications where necessary). In addition to skillful execution, Jeff is a fantastic person to work with. He runs his business with such high integrity and his easy going demeanor make for a great collaborative relationship. I highly recommend Jeff and would hire him again in a heart beat.

It's easy to recommend Mr. McTighe. He did a stone finish to a knee wall in front of our home several years ago. We were so pleased with that job that we invited him back this year to remove our old patio and replace it with a redesigned one. He also replaced our old beat up lawn with a beautiful artificial turf. He has a good crew who always cleans up and are on the job when they say they will. Oh, pricing. Very fair and competitive. Jeff and his crew were outstanding - I have nothing but great things to say. We had Jeff landscape our front and back yards. The front consisted of removing a fence and a lot of demo of old and aged plants. We had a ton of roots that needed to be dug up and hauled away and suddenly we had a large yard to work with! In the back we had minor demo; a small flagstone patio built and raised beds constructed with new soil brought in. Thoroughly enjoyed working with Jeff and his team! I worked with a number of contractors destroying and reconstructing my back yard (Pool company, carpenters, masons, plumbers, electricians, inspectors and landscapers). Jeff coordinated all of them even for the trades he was not responsible for (i.e. not paid for). He and his team were professional, creative, and extremely accommodating. Rather than it being a painful process, it was extremely enjoyable and memorable. I absolutely enjoy my backyard and entertain in it almost every weekend. The project was completed on budget, in time and beyond my expectations of the final product. My next door neighbor being in the construction industry used another team, regrettably. Not only is there job delayed over a year, but the team finally stopped coming to the site. Obviously, these were not your everyday projects. They were fairly substantial. As an example of Jeff's customer service, 3 years later I had a landscape lighting problem that Jeff's team had not even installed. I knew the contractor would not be responsive to any request, so I asked Jeff if he could recommend someone. Within an hour, he had 3 of his own guys at my house and repaired the problem on the spot. That same day with no charge! And it wasn't like they were just in the area, they were 20 miles away at the time. I could go on with anecdotes regarding their customer service, but I will leave it at that. Call for more info.

My wife and I couldn't be happier with the privacy wall Jeff McTighe built at our home enclosing a carport into a courtyard. His price was fair, he showed up when he said he would and he and his guys worked quickly and efficiently with high quality. Jeff offers lots of free ideas and advice for maximizing the potential of the project without trying to up sell unnecessary additions. The only negative were some materials that were ordered in a slightly different shade than we requested. Jeff immediately admitted it was their mistake and immediately fixed the error at their cost. Totally professional, fairly priced and quality workmanship. Need I say more?

Working with Jeff and his crew was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. We had a few unexpected items come up on our project with termite damage and our pool company, but all things were handled professionally and in our best interest.
