I specialize in color, space planning, furnishings, finishes and soft treatments. Though I don't like to label a particular style preference in my work, I do incorporate furnishings and finishes with a modern sensibility for style and function. My husband and I found the perfect location to build our new home. We knew we needed a professional with the many decisions we’d be making. After interviewing many, we instantly connected with Janet Shea as she really listened to our ideas and was able to balance our home without being too masculine or too feminine in decore. We have two college aged sons that Janet also was open to their thoughts. She has an amazing eye for color and was great with measurements when focusing on each room whether it be the kitchen , bedrooms, family room, or bathrooms. We always felt like we were her only clients as she was always engaged , thorough and punctual to our builder’s great satisfaction. We live on the water and we wanted the feeling of a year round home instead of it feeling too beachy like a summer home. She accomplished this and carries color, and warmth throughout. I highly recommend Janet Shea whether it be an entire home as was ours or any updated project.

Janet is fantastic to work with and she helped me transform my family room and dining room into spaces I love. I contacted Janet after attempting to redecorate my family room myself. I quickly realized that it is worth every penny to hire a professional. Janet helped me fix my mistakes. She pulled everything together and the outcome is beautiful. I have worked with Janet on a bunch of small projects as I've slowly made my way through furnishing, painting, and wallpapering my home. She has suggested affordable ways to update my kitchen, choose paint colors, pick out wall paper, and helped me choose custom made drapes. She's easy to talk to and has spent so much time answering questions and letting me pick her brain! She's patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her.

Janet did a wonderful job combining both my husband and I's preferences into our new TV room. My husband likes a more modern space whereas I am more traditional. We had never worked with a decorator before & weren't sure what to expect. Janet gave us different layout choices, paint, fabric & color options for everything. Items were also given at different price points. She communicates well and makes sure that you are satisfied with the product/service. I would highly recommend Janet.

As a small company, I rely on the diligence of the decorators I work with to keep their projects rolling along and therefore keeping me busy. Through the years, she has done just that. Janet always answers my phone calls, emails or any questions I may have about a project and seeks my advise when necessary. We work very well together because she treats me with the utmost professional respect and does the same with her clients. You can always tell that Janet's clients really like her and the end product of her work is always wonderful!

Janet made our redecorating project an absolute joy. Her knowledge, skill, organization, and expertise made this a stress-free undertaking for my family. She immediately got a sense of what our goals were and the look we were after, and made it all come together seamlessly in a relatively short time. We could not be happier with the results. The furniture, rugs, lighting and accessories she helped us choose have created a calm, soothing vibe throughout the house. My husband and I were so tired of our house, which was cluttered with all our bad choices, so we decided to hire a professional. I was thrilled to find Janet was local and so highly rated by Houzz. We met and she patiently listened to our differing priorities and tastes and discussed our options. She gave us concepts for our LR, DR and master bedroom, which were spot on. We've executed 80% of what she recommended over several months and we're still working toward 100% - and she's hung in with us! We loved the process, we loved her ideas, and now we love our house!

Janet did an incredible job with the remodel of our kitchen/dining room! I don't think I could have accomplished the remodel on my own. She knew exactly what I was looking to do just by listening to me. In my mind I knew what I wanted, but she helped me visualize it. She was very patient with my changes and would tell me what would work or not. I appreciated her honesty. She was always available to talk. I would not hesitate to call on Janet in the future. I "highly" recommend her.

I've been working with Janet Shea for a year now and I couldn't be happier with her services. My husband and I purchased a home that was screaming 1980 and in just on short year, Janet has helped transform our home! Everyone who walks into our house comments on how welcoming and beautiful it looks. I couldn't have done it without her. She understands my style and has guided me in every decision I've made from countertops, flooring, light fixtures, furniture layout, rugs, draperies, and fabrics! Every recommendation she makes is spot on. Not only is Janet's design gorgeous, but she is so easy to work with. She is professional, kind-hearted, and makes the whole design process easy and fun. She understands my budget and moves at a pace that we are comfortable with. We have accomplished so much together in one year, but we still have much more to complete. I thank my lucky stars I have Janet to guide me in the process!
