We are a small business, with over 40 years trading history. As a like minded group of individuals who love our work, we offer a very personal service. Because everything is made, by hand, to order, it's critical that we have a thorough understanding of what you want and how you want it to look. We like to think we deliver on both functionality and aesthetics, as every single piece we make is truly bespoke, rather than repeating furniture from have a limited range of options. Whether a project requires us to design unique mouldings, or develop new styles, we really enjoy making clients ideas come to life. We don’t know any other company who works in this way around here, but it is embedded in the way we work and the furniture we make - it’s what makes us James Mayor Furniture. As makers of hand painted furniture, we love working with colour, most especially on projects in kitchen and living areas because there is a lot of scope for individuality and these spaces really need to function properly as well as being beautiful. Softening a kitchen so that it works seamlessly alongside a living space is a pleasure for our team. We are a small, relaxed and friendly team of design professionals who are entirely passionate about every project we are involved with, large or small.
