I had the priviledge of working with Jaime. It truly was an honor. The professionalism she showed was ultimately refreshing. Jaime took the time outside of normal working hours to spend time with me. I was very amazed at the lengths she went in order to save her clients money and still find the highest quality products. I will highly recommend Jaime to everyone. I hope that she reads this review because I want to say Thank you again!!!

Jamie was awsome to work with and I loved her approach to design. She walked me through the decision making process and made me feel great about what I wanted to do and where best to spend my money. She managed all the contractors for me and made sure everything was done correctly. I love my new kitchen color (she is a genius with color) and my banquet! It has changed the whole feeling to my house.

Jaime walked me through the remodel of my little Leipers Fork cottage from start to finish. She was very detail oriented, and never rushed through anything! She brought fresh ideas, amazing pieces into the home, and totally revitalized the home. Jaime is enthusiastic about her work and truly loves what she does- it shows in the finished product! She was great about sticking to a budget, and had so many creative ideas to help us navigate a sometimes tight budget.

My husband and I decided to hire Jaime with Magnolia Mae Vintage Design to help us with our new home construction. Jaime had glowing reviews and beautiful ideas, she was enthusiastic and high energy, and her design fee was extremely reasonable. I looked forward to working with her on our project. My goal was to find someone who could guide me through the design process and hopefully make what could be a stressful experience easier. I didn’t expect my relationship with Jaime to be stiff and formal, but I did expect it to be professional. In the end, I spent far too much time placating her and making this project easier for her. My relationship with Jaime was stressful and unprofessional, I had no choice but to terminate our contract. The problems began when she first reached out to our builder. Granted, he was less than communicative, and I completely understand how frustrating the situation must have been for her. Her frustration grew over time, and she began to send me very negative texts and emails about our builder which I found to be inappropriate. She took the liberty of sending our floor plans and selections to another builder and asking him to submit an estimate on our project. I did not approve this as I did not know about it until after it was done. I can’t say what her motivation was, but I suspect it was because she didn’t want to work with our builder because of the communication issues. On another occasion, I asked if she knew of anyone who could refinish some antique doors I had purchased. She didn’t, but she said she would try to find someone. I was stunned to receive her email the next day saying that she felt I didn’t like anything she did, I was taking advantage of her, and I was taking time away from her other clients by demanding that she find someone to refinish my doors. That was not how I recalled our conversation. I tried to reach her by phone so we could discuss the situation. She refused to talk to me. I believed this was unreasonable behavior and almost terminated our contract at that point. However, I had already paid a significant amount of her fee. I decided to try to make it work. I began to see a consistent pattern of behavior…sending an emotional email or text and refusing to have a conversation to resolve the problem. The most recent issue came when she wanted pricing information on siding from my builder. Again, he was slow to respond, but he did get her the information she requested. For some reason, she wasn’t happy with what he sent her. I was never able to find out why. Immediately after this, I received her text saying that she felt disrespected and that my project was going to fail if my builder did not communicate with her. I found this behavior completely unacceptable and sent her a letter terminating our contract. Over the next couple of weeks, I received additional emails from Jaime saying that I had no right to be angry with her because she had done nothing wrong, and that the entire situation was my builder’s fault. In the last email I received, she called my builder’s integrity into question by calling him a crook. She literally used that word. She said he wouldn’t work with her because she knew that what he was doing “was not right.” She went on to say that “most people say” that he’s not a contractor. In fact, he is not a contractor. He is a custom home builder. I believe Jaime and I could have worked through the communication issue with my builder had she and I been able to have a professional conversation about it and move forward in a positive way. For whatever reason, she seemed to focus on how disrespected she felt and the negatives of the situation rather than finding a solution and making her client happy.

Working with Jamie on our house was such a pleasure. She has a deep understanding of design and flow. She has a natural ability to see how a room should be designed, how different pieces of furniture or art should be brought in or moved out and how to achieve a peaceful balanced feel. Her enthusiasm is contagious and her knowledge of sources for pieces and resources for contractors seem endless. Although our project was small, her professionalism and mindfulness of our preferences was very appreciated and I loved her creative suggestions. She suggested design ideas that I had not thought about and were very exciting. I look forward to working with her again.

Jaime from Magnolis Mae is amazing!! Her ability to listen to the customer's design needs and analyze what is necessary to obtain the total package the customer is looking for is just brilliant. Jaime designed my friend's great room with affordable furniture and unique pieces, topped off with lovely blends of textures and varying shades of white. I cannot say enough about her vision in design!! I was so impressed I have asked Jaime to design my sun room. I look forward to seeing what she creates for my family !

Magnolia Mae, does an amazing job of making your space not only inviting but also a beautiful statement. Jaime does a beautiful job bringing in history pieces as well. She is gifted at attention to detail and will make your home a true expression of the best of who you are!

My favorite decorator is so fun to work with! I always come away inspired by her vision and her ability to achieve the creative comfort I long for. Jaime always listens, and even helps me to describe what it is that I can see in my mind, but have a difficult time articulating. As a result, I get to come home each day to the most comfortable and welcoming surroundings that are suited to me and my lifestyle, not someone else’s. I so admire her ability to transform a room into the most comforting sanctuary.

I used Jaime to help rearrange several rooms. We were able to use most of my own items but I now have a completely different look. It's amazing how moving and rearranging change the look and feel of your rooms. I have a mix of antique and newer items mixed together. Jaime was able to find several antique items I was looking to add. Tell her what you have in mind and she will come up with it. She has an amazing eye for detail and is a very dedicated and hard worker.

Jamie is a creative, imaginative artist who puts her heart into every project. She combines talent and vision to create one-of-a-kind interior designs and furniture sure to become family heirlooms. Her soft color pallet is pleasing, universal and works with any style. And her positive client friendly personality makes her a pleasure to work with. I'm always impressed with how much thought and work she puts into every project, often searching the country for just the right piece to complete a design. And always making every design as unique as the person she's working with. I love working with Jamie and think you will too.
