Lisa is an amazing designer. She listens to your ideas and then helps you bring them to life in your home. She has an easy approach to finding out your needs and using her extensive list of vendors to make sure that your home reflects your style and not just the trends. I would highly recommend Lisa. She is the best of the best.

I was amazed by how easy it was to work with Lisa. She looked at my space and created a vision down to every item- drapes, rugs, furniture and wall art. Her talents are vast and as a busy working professional she met her commitments and responded very fast. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I highly recommend and I am very picky. Lisa and her staff at The Ivy Cottage are so helpful in all of your decorating needs. Lisa met with us to redecorate the first floor of our home including furniture, wall coverings, window treatments, rugs, artwork and accessories. I had the pleasure of working with Lisa for my home downstairs redesign. It was a great experience in my personal life so when my office was being remodeled and we needed a designer I was excited to bring her on board. Lisa was brought into the project midstream, she had 30 days to select all of our furniture and created a cohesive reception area, lighting, and design for the office. She stayed on budget and somehow was able to even finish early during a hectic holiday season. She is a top-notch designer - our space looks amazing because of her and her talents. I have enjoyed working with her for my personal home projects and my commercial work project.

Lisa and i worked together after a remodeling project to accessorize the space — drapes, lamps, art work, decor items. The new look is fresh, bright and refreshing. She was able to incorporate existing and new items into a less traditional more eclectic look, which is both attractive and warm, yet comfortable. I love it!

My home was beautiful, but something was missing. People would tell me not to change anything, but I felt it lacked the final step. It was missing the “WOW” factor. Lisa transformed my house into a cottage filled with beautiful artwork, accessories, draperies, pillows and an antique pediment that had been part of a Victorian home. The project included the guest bathroom, the master bedroom, the kitchen and the living and dining rooms. The dark brown kitchen cabinets were antiqued with a white base and highlighted with a brown stain that brightened the kitchen. A new lighting fixture replaced the old dark brass. She added a yellow floral wallpaper that completed the makeover and brought my garden inside. She selected artwork that captured my love of flowers, replaced dull, outdated lighting with eye-catching fixtures in the guest bathroom, the entryway and the dining and living rooms that carried a beautiful theme throughout the house. New paint revitalized the walls, adding colors that supported and enhanced the furnishings. Lisa is a creative designer who puts a great deal of effort into her work and is not satisfied with the job until you are. Easy to work with, she has a wonderful personality which complements her designer skill set. The Ivy Cottage is a great resource for ideas and items useful for your project. If the items you are looking for are not in the shop, Lisa will find them for you. She is constantly aware of budget requirements, tweaking purchases to assure that monetary needs and quality are balanced. She is relentless in the pursuit of perfection and is a consummate professional. The revitalization of my house was a huge success due to Lisa’s ideas, concepts and hard work. It was such a joy working with her. Our five star rating was given for what is outlined above and for putting the “WOW” into my home.

Lisa was easy to work with and has great taste. My project was small but I still felt like she was fully vested and that her end goal was that I love the finished project. She was able to add the finishing touches that I needed and work with what I already had. I will definitely use her again.

Lisa Allen selected furniture and accessories for 5 rooms of my new house. She designed window treatments as well as bedding. Each room is professionally done and the process was very smooth. Lisa supervised the delivery of the furniture, the placement of the furniture and accessories and the installation of the window treatments. Each person she chose to do the painting, the window treatments, the delivery, the installation, and cabinetry work were outstanding in their professionalism and their work. Lisa answered every email, text, and phone call immediately and stood behind each product and service. She and her staff at Ivy Cottage were courteous and a pleasure to work with. I first began working with Lisa last year when I had just finished decorating 3 rooms in my new house and was very unhappy with two of them. Lisa Allen's talent for seeing what her clients need is immeasurable. I recently moved from a very warm tone Mediterranean-style home to an ultra modern cool-tone one. I was incredibly overwhelmed trying to make my existing decor work in the new space and I didn't have the budget to start all over from scratch. Lisa was incredible at seeing what could work vs what needed to go. She understood my budget. Even more impressively-she nailed my style and color palate in our first consultation. Her taste is flawless, on trend, and her advice is absolutely spot on. I walk through my home today and just smile because she helped me make it simply exquisite.

I was happy to find that Lisa provided design service after being so impressed with the items in her shop. I provided her a brief idea of my likes/dislikes and what I wanted to do with my space. I had such fun seeing what choices she made for me. In the few cases where I wasn't enamoured of a choice, she quickly made additional suggestions. It was very important that we incorporate some older family pieces in our plan. Lisa was very respectful of this and managed to incorporate them in a way that looks fresh and cohesive. The artisans that she recommended were top notch, and she interceded as necessary on my behalf. Love, love, love the new look in my room. I recommend Lisa not only for her artistic sense, but for her follow up, business practices, and the sheer pleasure of working with her.

Lisa has such unique taste and new ideas. I had moved from Los Angeles, and brought all my furniture with me to a new home that was completely different then my previous one.
