After seeing the samples of their glass tiles, I ordered the Beach Tile (which is a man made tile) . The tile I received was no where close to the color of the sample in the store. Island Stone did not list this product as one that varies from tile to tile or lot or lot. When the designer requested multiple samples from the same lot, as well as different lots -- all were varying shades & colors. Island Stone haggled about restocking fees as freight charges for return, and were not very customer friendly

We are very surprised and disappointed to hear about your experience. Could you let us know through which location you made your purchase so we can investigate further?

While our beach glass does have "lots" that relate to hue variation, it is generally only something that needs to be investigated should lots be mixed in the same projects as they are generally very subtle. We make every effort to communicate this to our retail partners so that they are aware of this and advise the end customer. It sounds like your designer acted correctly in getting sampled from a available lot to insure your projects appears exactly as you want, did you receive something different from the samples?

Our restocking fees are exclusively related to product returned either because of overage or a customers change of mind. We would not intentionally charge this, should our product not meet our customers expectations. If this was mistakenly done, we would be happy to reconcile that incorrect charge.

We are certainly sorry for your experience, but if there is anything we can do to rectify it we would be glad to try to do so. Please let us know.

Allure Designs

As an Interior Designer I always look for the best quality for the product that I use in my design projects. I was looking for pebbles for a bathroom design when I found Birds Egg Blend Perfect Pebble from Island Stone. The pebbles were beautiful in shape and color, and perfectly placed in every sheet-mesh providing a natural look. The result was stunning!! My project won the Best Bath 2015 NKBA award and my clients were extremely happy with their bathroom and the setting of the pebbles which was extensively used on the floor and walls. On my part, I am very satisfied with the product and the excellent quality.

Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen & Bath

We were first attracted to the Edge Quartzitic tie when we were exploring material to update our showroom displays last year. We liked the rustic, natural look of the slate and paired it with rift white oak cabinetry in an oil-infused finish and hot rolled steel accents.
