H&H did an excellent job on my parent's 1880s house which was totally destroyed by fire. Steve the foreman did a wonderful restoration relocating the original plaster and carpentry features , but also bringing the house up to date with modern insulation, wiring and plumbing standards. many people were surprised by the quality, not realising this house was resurrected from a bare shell.

Via a tender organised by our architect, we selected H&H as the building contractor for the first significant interior renovation of our home in 30 years. We moved out in January 2020 and the work was completed (on time, during the Covid pandemic ) at the end of July 2020. The project involved removing (and moving) walls, a new stair case, moving three bathrooms, creating a double height entrance hall, installing underfloor heating, total re-wiring and re-plumbing the whole house, etc Through the site manager we were always welcomed onto the site at any time and kept fully informed of progress and issues. The off-site team were equally accessible, constructive and collaborative. This made resolving inevitable issues, or accommodating equally inevitable project extensions, easy. H&H will conduct the post-completion snagging in the New Year, but minor issues that have already been identified have all been addressed already. The financing was transparent throughout, making budgeting practical. We are delight with the results and feel good about the whole project. I would be happy to recommend H&H for any similar project.
