About Kate KATE LANE. YOUR PERSONAL INTERIOR DESIGNER. Kate Lane is an award winning interior designer who has worked with architects, building designers & builders for many years. In 2016, after 10 years working with a leading Architectural company on the NSW Mid North Coast, Kate opened her own affordable interior design selection studio in the Coffs Harbour CBD; called Cushie Interior Design Coffs Harbour. Kate offers interior design, colour consultancy & selection service. Her studio is full of all sorts of samples including paint colours, Colorbond finishes, laminates, stone samples, window coverings, wallpapers and fabrics. Kate is also a fabric tragic, she loves beautiful fabrics and how they can light up a room or be the inspiration for creating an individual space. Her studio has many beautiful fabrics to choose from that can be used to recover that special chair or create fabulous cushions that can start or finish your story. Fabulous fabrics like a great piece of art or wallpaper can be that inspiration that brings your vision together. Cushie Design also custom makes that all important, mandatory piece for every home “the cushion”. Custom cushions, bed runners, lampshades, bed heads and the re-upholstering of chairs and sofas; if you can cover it in fabric, we can organise that for you.
