Ken Gemes has a less is more approach to design. Cognizant of the daily demands of the modern family, Gemes design aesthetic focuses on creating environments that are at once elegant and inviting. The accessibility and use of the space is always forefront in Gemes' mind when developing an interior space. He works with clients to develop a home where the client can be comfortable and at ease but easily transition to entertaining guests. His ability to listen to clients and offer intelligent and innovative solutions allows him to create spaces which are functional and stylish. He is well known for his sense of color, developed in his years in fashion, and commonly uses soft tones that are soothing and welcoming. As Gemes himself notes, "I have to make sure that every room in the house draws you in and functions as well as possible."

Ken and his team are consummate professionals who work together for a consistently beautiful result. As a residential realtor, I have referred Ken to a number of clients who benefited from his ability to transform otherwise ordinary rooms into sanctuary spaces. Because of his keen aesthetic, I recently asked Ken to revive the formal rooms in my own house by introducing exciting new pieces while tweaking the old ones to give them new life. And his approach is great because it always involves a number of beautiful options at various price points. Best of all, he is a lot of fun to work with!! My husband and I would highly recommend Ken for any job large or small!

Ken took a house that was in pretty bad shape and updated it by doing heavy heavy cosmetic Changes including completely redoing three fireplaces and renovating the kitchen as well. He also repurposed some furniture in two rooms but basically decorated a six bedroom house including all the common rooms . He did a superb job and our family could not have been happier . He and his entire staff are delight to work with . They are the consumate professionals. Ken Gemes has exquisite taste and I would highly recommend Him. He has to date completed two beach houses for our family and each time we have been thrilled .

Ken is a rock star designer. He has an amazing eye and transforms every space he touches. He has done 3 homes for me and he gets better each time!

My husband and I have hired Ken Gemes for 3 projects over the span of 15 years. He has an incredible talent for creating timeless, beautiful spaces that are both stylish and livable. I have been able to count on him for meeting our deadlines and being transparent on costs. His staff are helpful and knowledgable and a pleasure throughout each project we've done. I love his work and can't speak highly enough of him! I can't wait for our next project.

Ken Gemes is the most talented designer I have ever worked with. He has impeccable taste and is so easy to work with. He is definitely a perfectionist and wants everything exactly right. If it’s not done properly it is redone. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a superb designer. He is the best.

We have been working with Ken and his team for over a decade. Ken is easy to work with, has a phenomenal sense of style and is always focused on the client's vision. Ken helped us with a major renovation project and interior design of our house in Bronxville, NY in 2005 together with periodic subsequent updates. More recently we did a gut renovation of a NYC pre-war apartment. Ken advised us on many of the critical architectural/construction elements of the project and did the entire interior design. The space turned out to be chic, cozy and spectacular. Ken then helped us turn an historic house in Connecticut into a comfortable, warm and sophisticated home. Ken is the best! We would never do a design project without his cutting edge advice.

We have had the pleasure of working with Ken Gemes Interiors after being introduced by our builder. Ken and his team masterfully had the vision to help pull together our home from construction site of a house originally built in 1910 to the gorgeous finished product we have lived in for almost 4 years. His expertise with dimension and space is truly remarkable. The taste level and honed choices of color, fabric, furniture, and artwork made for a thoroughly enjoyable and unique experience. While there is a certain “Ken Gemes” look, each home he works on is its own entity. Not to be overlooked, he is also one of the nicest and most personable people you will ever meet.

I wholeheartedly recommend Ken Gemes Interiors. I met Ken when we bought our new home. We were moving from New York City to the suburbs so needed to completely decorate our house. Ken designed our interior and also acted as our central planner with architects, contractors, painters and more. I honestly do not know what we would have done without Ken's creativity, impeccable taste, strong project management and highly capable team. In six short months, Ken created our dream home. When we walked in the door after the installation, I literally cried with joy. I can't thank Ken enough for helping us design our beautiful home. He is nothing short of fantastic. We will certainly be working with Ken and his team again in the future.

Ken Gemes has a wonderful eye for color, fabrics and furniture. He has the ability to mix antiques with new or vintage pieces for an updated fresh look. He doesn't make a home seem like a museum, but a place where children and dogs are also welcome. No matter the size of a project, he is a perfectionist and attends to every detail from carpet installation to pillow placement. Since I live in a home built in the 1920's, he has also been able to find solutions for every problem from radiator placement in a room to craving out more storage space in a tiny bathroom.I have worked with Ken on many occasions over the past 10 years. He is professional, willing to be flexible and is always responsive.

Ken is wonderful to work with. Not only does he have a great sense of design and space, he has an in depth eye for color. His staff is equally nice to work with and are always eager to answer a question or help out in any way. I would fully recommend Ken Gemes Interiors!
