We worked with Gwen when designing our home and she was extremely helpful. Not only did she narrow down some of the choices so we weren't overwhelmed, but many of her suggestions for color schemes and how the flow of the space would turn out were right on and we are very happy with her expertise.

Gwen designed our new kitchen. It was an extensive remodeling as we ripped out the entire kitchen, started from scratch changing the floorplan. Gwen was very efficient and pertinent with the drawings, always keeping in mind what would be the most convenient for our family, suggesting changes even if it meant redoing sketches or waiting for us to make up our mind. She is thorough, detail oriented and responsive. What I appreciated the most was her concern to meet the budget. She was with us all along, talking to the builder, sub-contractors, coordinating the job. Gwen had previously designed our home office as well. We feel that she understands our needs, expectations. We totally trust her and couldn't recommend anybody else !

Gwen designed our remodel of a kitchen and 3 bathrooms, maintaining the mid-century style. She optimized for usability and aesthetics, creating a timeless look. Our space has been maximized and we have more storage. Many of our friends cannot recognize the space. It was an amazing transformation. We asked Gwen to visit our construction site often. She insisted on high standards and personally oversaw the tile work. Now we have beautiful niches and walls of tile. Gwen was able to help us stay within our budget, choosing finishes that had the look we wanted. She helped us determine where it makes sense to spend more. She also helped us work better with our contractor. Gwen is very straightforward and easy to work with. We would work with Gwen and we have already recommended her to our friends.

Gwen was absolutely wonderful to work with. She furnished and accessorized the entire first floor of our home which included our kitchen, mudroom, laundry room, powder room, dining room, living room, den and master bedroom. She also designed and assisted the landscape architect with our outdoor space which included a custom metal railing. Gwen was professional from the start and took the time to really listen to us and get to know our style. This attention to detail was evident in every piece she presented to us. Gwen was always mindful of our budget and gave us options that spanned the price range. We could not be happier with our finished product - down to the smallest accessories she chose for our bookshelves and side tables. Everything she chose is so "us" and our friends comment on that whenever they are in our home. It is beautiful and sophisticated yet warm and comfortable enough to put your feet up and watch football.

Gwen is beyond terrific. I moved from a large single family home to a smaller in-city condo. The building is beautiful, old and classic. I wanted our new place to be family friendly for my two teenage boys and still respect the classic elegance of the old building. Gwen was the perfect companion to create my home. She helped me create a classic home with my individual twist. Gwen listens well, has opinions that add value and is always looking at the big picture and end product. I have worked with other designers before and would never go back. Gwen and her design eye, personality, sense of humor and clear vision are top-notch.

Gwen was extremely skillful with the design and remodel of our old kitchen, transforming it into a beautiful, aesthetic and extraordinarily functional kitchen. In spite of some space limitations, she was very resourceful in bringing great design and practical ideas to make this a really amazing open plan kitchen which is perfect for entertaining. She was also very helpful in choosing the different materials and adding a personal touch of being present at very short notice to make this a seamless and exciting project. Gwen has helped us redecorate several different rooms in our house. She has advised in a variety of project aspects, from the layout and updating of our living room to dining room wallpaper selection, window treatments and furniture choices. I hired ID by Gwen because I was in a rut at my house and needed some decorating advice and ideas. I had furniture and accessories that I love and wanted to use, but also needed some new pieces to pull it all together. She helped with choosing furniture, lamps, accessories and arranging everything in the rooms. Additionally she helped coordinate fabrics and window treatments. She has a great eye and good spatial planning. She does a great job arranging bookshelves, placement of pictures and furniture and can work in different syles (modern, traditional, etc) Not only did she do a great job on my house, but she is really fun to work with and a wonderful person.

We hired Gwen Dumont to design two spaces for our remodel in May 2014. The first was a space that was created by taking out a back stair case. The second space was an office/t.v. den room. Both spaces were designed efficiently and took into consideration our design tastes and aspirations. Gwen listened to what we wanted and came back with several options for us to choose. She also took into consideration our budget and stuck to it! She never tried to talk us into something we didn't want. She also didn't give us a cookie cutter approach when choosing the materials for the room. We have two one of a kind spaces and love them both. We highly recommend Gwen Dumont for any design needs.

We hired ID by Gwen to remodel two bedrooms for our daughters. Gwen took the time to learn about our children in an effort to personalize their rooms. Gwen also took an inventory of our existing furniture and was able to reuse and repurpose items in ways we had never considered. As the project was a surprise to our daughters, Gwen put together one of the rooms when we were on vacation and the other while our daughter was at school. In both cases, the finished product looked fantastic and had very creative personal touches. We were extremely pleased with the outcome and would definitely work with Gwen again.

I contacted Gwen to consult in the remodeling of my mid-century modern home. The challenge was to incorporate modern design elements while honoring the mid-century ethos. The scope has included a complete kitchen remodel with all windows, doors, interior drywall and external siding. Gwen has an exceptional eye for the lines and uses texture, color and balance to create a harmonious design while working within structural (and budget...) limitations. While not complete, my transformation is stunning and I am more than pleased with the results. I highly recommend Gwen for her ability to communicate and work with a team; to elicit creativity from the contractors to achieve excellence.

We hired ID By Gwen to stage our vacant home for sale and to make it stand out in a competitive market. They made our life easy by not only making the house look amazing, but by taking care of all the details that we simply did not have the time or knowledge to make. I did not know what to expect from a price standpoint since I had never staged a house before but the budget for our project was a terrific value. I would highly recommend them for staging your home for sale and for interior design work.

I had the opportunity to work with Gwen on a Mid Century Modern project. She provided me with some very detailed drawings of the spaces to be improved and I had very few question after reviewing them. It was obvious that she did some very accurate field measuring as her measurements were spot on. During the actual construction phase I discovered a couple of things that were not going to work according to the proposed designs. This is not uncommen. Gwen, quickly shifted gears, and within several hours ( not days ) had a alternative solution to the problem without compromising the design theme or disrupting the flow of progress. A true sign of a professional Interior Designer and Gwen is a excellent team player. Little did I know at the time, but this project turned out to be one of the most popular bathroom designs on Houzz and the photos added to nearly 250,000 ideas books @ the time of this review It would be a pleasure to work with Gwen again

Gwen helped us with floor, wall, and cabinet colors as well as kitchen design. Gwen's ability to combine modern-French perspective with classic elements helped us combined our traditional and modern perspectives to create a warm, rich, and inviting space, while remaining cognizant of our budget. Hired ID by Gwen to help me with a kitchen layout for our remodel and some decorating help. Gwen was instrumental to our design and was terrific with keeping me level-headed through the process.

Gwen helped me redecorate my three children's rooms, family room and bonus room. She helped me choose paint colors, furniture, accessories, carpeting etc. I am a very indecisive person when it comes to decorating/design and she made the process so easy for me. She guided me in the selection process, met with me whenever necessary, answered my many emails in a very timely manner and presented drawings/ideas that really improved the rooms. Upon embarking on a major home remodel, our contractor recommended that we hire a designer. He said that there would be many design decisions to make and it would be helpful for all of us. After referring to Houzz and being impressed by Gwen's designs, we contacted her. She was especially helpful in relation to bathroom designs; tile and color selections; and just overall design ideas. Originally, the powder room had been located off the kitchen; however, Gwen suggested a more appropriate location with a spectacular design, using onyx for the counter top! She also helped us choose plumbing fixtures and designed two beautiful fireplaces! When people visit our home, they are impressed! It was a pleasure to work with her and I would highly recommend her! JUNE, 2018: In June, 2018, after having worked with Gwen five years ago, I contacted her again, for help in choosing new furniture for our living room. Gwen has a wonderful aesthetic, and recommended pieces which are not only attractive, but also comfortable! When it all came together, our family was delighted with the transformation of the room. It is now much more open, bringing the out of doors in, all the while making the whole room more cozy and welcoming! We couldn’t be happier.
