Horizon Builders transformed our condo masterbath and closet into a modern chic space that both my husband and I enjoy everyday. Chris, Theresa and Winston delivered amazing service and professionalism throughout the entire project. From the demolition of the space to the last laid tile, they managed the talented and skilled tradesman to deliver a seamless on time project. They were patient when we had multiple design changes and provided ideas and feedback to help us make decisions. We highly recommend Horizon Builders and we will use them again on our kitchen remodel.

I can’t recommend Horizon Builders enough. They completed a very difficult tub installation of a bathroom remodel that no other contractor or plumber was able to do. I felt very confident in their skills and the professionalism of their subcontractors. They all showed up when they were scheduled to on time. Chris and Theresa were very responsive to any questions I had and made sure the job was done correctly and to my satisfaction. I’m just sorry I hadn’t found them sooner so that they could have handled the entire remodel.

We highly and genuinely recommend Horizon Builders, Inc. Since moving into our home, we have had water damage on one side due to monsoon rains. We had 7 general contractors come to assess the issue. We chose Horizon for many reasons: reliable and efficient communication (texts, email, phone), extremely detailed estimates, and collaboration of ideas to solve the water issue once and for all. Not only were the ideas to solve the water problems solid, but their ideas about stylish modifications were brilliant. When we asked to make changes to a plan, the communication and adjustments were seamless and stress-free. When we added projects, Horizon brought over the painter/electrician/stucco crew/roofer/patio crews to see the projects in person. We were always included in conversations, and all questions were quickly answered. Our add-on projects included, a custom-built shelving unit in our master bedroom, an outdoor swing, new paint and wood repairs on all the baseboards, cafe string lights installed on an outdoor patio, 4 garages repainted, and garage floors cleaned and epoxied. As a bonus, they inflated my car's tires one morning when the low-tire-pressure light came on. We trusted Horizon to give them access to our home when we had to go out. They got to know our dogs and were lovingly tender when we lost our 17-year-old Maltese one morning as the crews were here working. Finally, we have worked with general contractors/builders in the past. Once they finished the job, we never wanted to speak to them again. Horizon Builders went above and beyond our expectations. We will have them back for our next project ASAP. 5 Stars! A++

We highly recommend Horizon Builders. From start to finish the quality of work was exceptional. They met all of our needs in a timely manner and were also able to repair previous sub-par contractor work we were not even aware of. We are very pleased with the outcome of our projects HVAC relocation - roof repair - soffit removals - cabinet repair- electrical repair - free standing tub and floor mount filler install in master bathroom All completed with 0 delays We will use Horizon Builders for all our future projects. Very honest people and they did an amazing job in our house. We had a water damage in our kitchen and they fixed it in no time. They told us how much they charge, which was very decent and they fixed it without causing us any trouble. They also installed fans which I am very pleased with. We like to remodel and if we decide to go ahead, I will hire them. It is nice to know builders like them still exist.

Chris and Theresa made our 2300 sq. ft. whole house remodel less stressful than it could have been. This was due in part to their availability to answer questions and address issues. They and their team are also very friendly as are most of the sub-contractors used during the project which took a few days over one year to complete. It is our recommendation that you include them in your pre-construction interview process.

Chris & Theresa were terrific to work with. Pricing was fair and the work performed was of the highest quality. Whenever a problem arose, Chris always had good suggestions for solutions. He was knowledgeable of the latest trends in home design. His foreman on site was knowledgeable and able to problem solve well. We were out of state during the entire construction period and had no problems working long distance. Chris called and/or sent photos so that we could discuss any issues from long distance.

After a terrible experience with another contractor, we were incredibly lucky to find Peak Construction. Chris and his excellent team -- including John and Theresa -- came in and not only fixed all the myriad of problems left by the first GC, but also completed quality work in a highly professional manner. Chris is always on site and available to talk to the client and responds very quickly to emails and texts; he is very hands-on. What had become a massive headache to deal with was salvaged by Chris and the team and we're very grateful, thank you, guys!

Chris and his team did a great job completely renovating our 2700 square foot home in Rancho Mirage. The remodel ended up much bigger than originally anticipated but the results came out great. There were many unknowns when undertaking a project of this size but Chris was very helpful navigating the entire project all the way down to the landscaping. Very thorough and good workmanship.

Peak Construction has been the best contractor I have hired. They are professional, knowledgeable, creative, smart, pleasant and problem solvers. Their crew is conscientious, trustworthy and polite - it was a pleasure dealing with them. They protected their feet when they walked in the house and if there was any dust, they cleaned up each day. They also cleaned up the construction site outside everyday. They understood that people were actually living here in the middle of the construction and they made sure everything was clean and presentable. I've never had such a clean crew! Construction is one of those industries where things don't go as planned, no matter how much you plan - it's construction - there are too many variables and things aren't perfect - it's just the nature of construction. One day when I called Chris with a problem, he had a solution before he called me back that day. There were no battles and no attitude. He brought me solutions to make sure we were happy. Change orders are another aspect of construction that often times is not appreciated. Chris was glad to help us figure out what additional items we wanted to add to the order now and which ones we want to do at a later date. Their billing is accurate and he tells you what is needed on what date so there are no surprises. The quality of the finished product was superior. I could not have asked for it to be any better. I trust these people, they were good to us and I will definitely hire them again.

Mr. Nelson made an appointment to come to my home and discuss remodeling my master bath. He arrived on time, was professional and polite. We spent at least an hour, if not two, discussing my options for the bathroom and the possibility of other work in the future for my home. He took measurements and told me that he would provide me with a bid in a week. Where I used to have a dangerous step-down sunken tub from 1970, I now have a huge luxurious curb-less glass shower that will still work for me when I am older and need to use a walker or wheelchair. All of the workers were courteous, professional and conscientious. I am absolutely thrilled with my new bathroom. I highly recommend Peak Construction!

We are currently doing Suzanne's Master Bathroom. She is a wonderful lady. She had some valid claims that we did not respond to her. We had some things come up and we got behind on paperwork. However we sent her an apology letter and asked her to give us another chance. She agreed and we signed a contract with her several weeks ago. I hope she comes back with a 5 star review when we are done.

I hired Chris to do some remodeling in my home in Rancho Mirage. He and his crew were professional and thorough. Chris also provided suggestions for lighting, flooring and other design elements which were terrific and very helpful. My husband and I hired Chris Nelson to do a major master bath remodel and also for additional work that had to be done around are Fifty's era home in Palm Desert, California. It was a pleasure working with him. He was always professional in his dealings with us and with the subs he hired. Chris was responsive and addressed issues that were of concern to us in a timely manner. We were pleased with all of the subs that he used and the way they cleaned up after themselves. Everyone was punctual and if there was a delay we were called. Chris made what could be a very stressful experience an endurable one. We have heard so many horror stories about remodels gone wrong and Chris made the experience almost easy. We love the results!

Chris and his sub-contractors were wonderful. I had a new sliding door installed, a new pedestrian door installed in my garage, and new dry wall finishing in the garage. Chris was thorough in the preparation of the jobs, listened to the work I wanted done and executed the work perfectly. He kept me informed every step of the way, worked with the City of La Quinta to get all the permits required and made sure that all work was completed as we discussed. I was so pleased with his work that I have recommended him to several people. I will also call on Chris and Peak Construction & Design for future work. Thanks Chris!!!

WOW !!! Our bathroom renovation and other repair work are done, what a SUPERIOR job by Mr. Chris and his staff of experts in the fields of the professions they had chosen. We are retired couple and new comers to California; we started off our renovation journey with the wrong foot. “NEVER” hire an unlicensed contractor, needless to say we shed lots of tears and $$$. Chris, to the rescue, he promised to undo all the work done by previous contractor and do it in a correct way, he kept his promise. Everything was just GREAT, we have ideas on more renovations, no question, Mr. Chris will be our person to get our place into the “castle” that we will enjoy. When we decided to remodel our kitchen we interviewed three contractors. We chose Chris because he really listened to what we had to say. I have a major back problem so I was concerned about having the kitchen designed to be as easy on my back as possible, where he could, Chris incorporated back saving ideas into the design making the kitchen much more functional for me. Chris was upfront with us about being without a kitchen for a month. It turned out to be more difficult than we expected but Chris and John helped by thoroughly cleaning up at the end of each work day. We had a few special requests and Teresa put in extra time finding items for us at a reasonable price. The subcontractors Chris used were all excellent. Out kitchen is beautiful. We'll definitely call Peak Construction and Design when we have other projects to do.

Chris and his team completed a minor renovation for us. His staff were always respectful and polite and took care to minimize the disruption to our lives. The work was of very good quality. Work proceeded on schedule and on budget. I have no reservation about recommending Peak.

Installed new kitchen appliances; put railing doors in pantry, handles mall cupboards, new kitchen sink and faucet installation, lowered kitchen to all the same height and installed water heater under sink. Put in new garbage disposal. Excellent job in all work.

Chris Nelson of Peak managed in excess of $400,000 in remodel work for us. He is a consummate professional and worked well with our architect, the municipality and his subcontractors. Our first project with Chris was a desert modern remodel which subsequently sold for the highest $/sf price in its submarket. We had over 100 parties look at the property and all praised the craftsmanship and attention to detail of Peak's work. Our second project with Chris was a large Mid-Century Modern remodel and Chris and his team worked with our architect to make it look like it belongs in the pages of Dwell Magazine! Chris and his wife Theresa share a common focus on quality construction and customer service - they are a top general contracting firm in our area.

Chris Nelson of Peak Construction and Design delivered exactly what I asked him to complete for a project I designed in Palm Desert. Chris is very detail oriented and brought excellent sub contractors to the project. I was impressed with Chris' ability to manage the subs and get the very best work for my Client. There were definitely some delays in our schedule due to material availabilities and design changes on our part, but even with Chris managing multiple projects, he still managed to fit us into his busy schedule and keep the project moving. His thoughtful approach to translating the design details into reality was appreciated and he was a pleasure and a professional to work with from beginning to end. I highly recommend him and his company and look forward to working with him again on future projects.
