Mark of Excellence

Mark, We have had the pleasure of having Mark Hodge assist with two projects. A full basement renovation, which required demo and reconstruction. He was able to turn a dingy dark basement into a wonderfully livable space with an added custom character. He listened carefully to our ideas and made them a reality. He installed a laminate flooring and barn-wood wainscoting throughout. He also custom made a Bar/Sink Counter top out of poured concrete. It looks amazing! The second project was a built in shelving for our open pantry, he was precise and made it look absolutely perfect. (See Pictures below) He is extremely talented, takes his craft seriously, incredibly detail oriented and certainly a perfectionist to a fault. We would absolutely recommend Mark for your next project. JO

Mark is an extremely reliable, talented, creative and hard working builder that made remodeling our entire home an extremely enjoyable experience. We have recommended Mark to several friends who have also been equally satisfied with his work.

Mark has completed two projects for us. The first project was a complete remodel of our lower level living room. We provided Mark with an inspiration photo and he took it from there, building out a large fireplace that required intricate woodwork in addition to tile work. Adjacent to the fireplace Mark added custom designed cabinetry and shelves along with a built-in desk. We periodically had special requests such as a cabinet that would accommodate our printer (including the wiring) and another cabinet to house all the television equipment (i.e. cable box, DVD player, receiver, etc). On another wall he built cabinets with a counter top and beautiful wainscoting to the ceiling. Finally Mark installed crown molding throughout the lower level. We were very pleased with all aspects of the project including Mark's professionalism, speed and ability to stick to the budget, but the best part was the final result. After the success of that first project we contracted Mark to complete another project this Summer that again involved building out a fireplace. Again Mark nailed the project and was able to accommodate everything we requested including finding a 100 year old distressed barn beam to be used as the mantle. The final product where he completed a 25 foot installation with two large window boxes and the beautiful wainscoting again exceeded our expectations. Mark is much more than your average carpenter, he takes your ideas and with nothing more than basic guidance creates high end results. We would definitely recommend Mark.

Mark remodeled our master bathroom. It was a complete gut-job, including moving walls, moving plumbing, tiling, and building a custom sliding door. Mark did it all. His attention to detail is phenomenal. As an example, I have tried to find flaws and inconsistencies in grout lines. There simply are none. Mark finds creative solutions to challenges, including design issues. Mark responds to your ideas and will work with you to make certain you are happy with your project. And you will be. He is not just a contractor, he is an artist. Mark was in our home daily for 7 weeks. He was respectful, kept a clean workspace, and was a delight to have around. We couldn't be more pleased with our new bathroom and that is because of the fine job Mark did for us. We are already building a list of new projects just for him. We recommend him without hesitation or reservation.

Mark Hodge is definitely a master of his craft. His attention to detail is excellent and he is not afraid to take on any challenge. He is great when working with other trades and will put in the extra effort to get the project completed.
