High Low Designs

We primarily work with Interiors, but will also consult with clients on other types of design (i.e. exteriors, curb appeal, etc.) The company name has a dual meaning: #1 - The studio is physically located in North Carolina (High/Low Country - Asheville, NC to be exact); and #2 - The mission of the firm is to make design accessible to broader audience (client base) by finding "lower end" solutions to "high end" concepts and furnishings. Many of our clients are "do-it-yourselfers," who strictly need affirmation (one-off consultations) for their ideas, and/or "another set of eyes" before moving forward. We're happy to work with you for one consultation. Should you decide you need additional support, we will gladly develop a proposal that fits your budget, and meets your approval, prior to moving forward with additional suggestions and services. Our projects have included redecorating (making good use of your current possessions -- upcycling), space planning/rearranging, redesigning, home staging for resale, color consulting, furniture and accessory selection and/or specification, and other design services. We do our best to address your needs, while trying to maintain efficiency and economy. (The KISS - "Keep It Simple" method!) The hourly rate for meeting in person is $75, with virtual consultations charged at $45 per hour. Virtual clients will be sent a questionnaire, and a request for photographs, prior to a consultation. All consultations include a follow-up email summary, based on our discussion (included in the hourly fee). Please see "Cost Details," below, for additional information about fees and expenses. As you can see from the credentials, below, the Principal Designer has over 30 years of experience in design, construction and real estate. She is experienced in both residential and commercial design, and available for both disciplines. She is also a graduate of the Michigan State University, FIDER Accredited, Interior Design Program.
