Henrys Painting & Contracting

We had a very disappointing experience with Henry's. We hired them rather than do it ourselves as part of the deck was above our hot tub and I knew would be difficult to reach. Fast forward... They flat out skipped our first appointment to acquire an estimate and took multiple calls to get them to schedule another time. When they did show the quote only included half the deck for some reason. They then could not give us any real time of when the deck stripping and staining would be done. They showed up one night to power wash the deck without notice, until 30 minutes into the project when we got a call asking if tonight would work to power wash the deck?! they were already there! the power washing was fine enough, but left some inconsistencies and rough patches that really should have been sanded in places. Then we get to the staining..... They send two very inexperienced (and later discovered one brand new unqualified) employees to stain the deck. The interior deck went...OK...with some annoyances like staining dead wasps to the deck for example. But now the real problem. i look out the window to see a worker standing on my hot tub cover, dead center, with a ladder also resting middle of the cover, and had obviously been stood on. I go out to tell him to get off, which was difficult as neither spoke much english. I immediately called the main office and of course they don't answer because no one ever does. I leave a message telling them to get the right equipment out her. I assumed they went to get scaffolding or a bigger ladder. NOPE. their solution was tape two 10 foot poles together with paint brush duct taped on the end to stain around my screened in porch. As you can imagine, the screen and my siding got covered in stain, and the stain job was piss poor. I had to haul an infant and two toddlers down to the main office that night just to get through that the job was no where near satisfactory because they continued to not answer the phone. they sent out the bosses son, who was very professional, apologetic, and agreed the work was no where near what they expected. He said they would replace our screens and make it right. we were also promised our hot tub cover would be inspected and addressed if needed. All they did was send two more groups of people over with solvents to remove the most obvious spots of stain on the screen. No spots on deck were touched up. no one inspected the cover which is sagging, torn, and doesn't open quite right. and we were INSTANTLY BILLLED the full amount as soon as the project was finished. We paid a huge amount for professionals, but got worse work than i could have done myself with less resources. Hot tub cover damaged and not addressed or even looked at. Screens and siding still have noticeable stain on them. and quite frankly, many spots of the deck just don't look all that good. I think Henry and his son are great, but you don't deal with them. you deal with absent office staff, and untrained laborers.

Henry's power sprayed the north side of our house which was the only one that needed attention. The employee who did the work was very conscientious and did an excellent job. We would definitely use Henry's again should the need arise.

Henry’s painting helped us finish painting our house in the areas that were too difficult for us due to height and stairs. They were extremely polite and asked questions to make sure they knew exactly what we were hoping for. I was extremely impressed with the line work at the ceilings as it was very clean and they even fixed up some blemishes from the original paint when the home was built. They protected all the surfaces and were very respectful of our home. I am very happy and recommend them!

Very impressed. Not many businesses you see out there that the owner is hands on. Henry personally came out to insure our project was going well! If you want quality, you know who to hire!
