I am an architect working intimately with contractors on high end renovations and modern new homes in Vancouver, and have done so for over 40 years. The level of attention to minute detail is vital to the success of our work, and the contractor's role is essential in achieving this. We hired HB Builders to renovate our newly purchased condo that was in a 20-year old building. We could not be more pleased with both the results and the manner in which the HBB team executed their work. From our first meeting to the conclusion of the project, all of our interactions with HBB were professional and very thorough. Hayden Bavin’s team was experienced in both their specific skillsets as well as what was needed by other trades. Everyone was organized and communication was constant whether it be about schedules, progress, challenges, needed purchases, etc. The entire team provided insightful and practical advice along with patience and respectful engagement with us, our Interior Designer, the Strata and the few suppliers we dealt with directly. The renovation process was executed well and we were delighted to have the project completed on schedule. We also found the sub-trades chosen by HB Builders to be of the same standard as the core team. Our first hand experience gives us the confidence to recommend HB Builders for any size renovation budget or complexity.

All of us at Bearmark have enjoyed working with Hayden and the HB team through a number of various types of projects from backyard decks to large commercial patio and landscape spaces. HB Builders – would highly recommend Hayden and his team for any project. All members very polite, responsive and professional and knowledgeable. This project was the installation of an 8,000 lb exterior glass elevator. Hayden and his team had to coordinate work with both a Geotec and Structural Engineer group to meet all of the latest seismic requirements. The excavation and foundation was impressive. Restricted physical access to the location made things difficult but all work was completed on time, on budget. Site was always kept clean, debris cleared immediately. Masa and Nick the two primary workers were great to work with. Again I recommend Hayden without reservation.

I was very pleased with the project that Hayden and his team executed. As the project progressed, it was evident that we had to change our plans and our path forward, but Hayden was very responsive and provided us with good solutions. All of his team members were professional and respectful and the end result is of the highest quality. I would definitely recommend HB Builders and intend to use them on future projects as well!

We initiated our project after two site visits and a formal quotation. At this time we felt comfortable to engage HBBuilders services. The two carpenters, Hayden and Tim, were professional, knowledgeable and extremely detailed in their craftsmanship, polite and tidy. In fact all the trades people were polite and professional. HB Builders rebuilt our deck and screening. Excellent job...very professional. The crew was meticulous in their workmanship. The deck and stairs were "picture framed" (i.e. interior boards framed around the outer edge so that no end boards exposed) giving everything a truly finished and professional appearance. Couldn't be happier....good price, started when they said they would, and finished in the estimated time frame.
