Excellent experience and we are very happy with the outcome! From design to installation, Hancock and Read were courteous, friendly and added value to our original concept. They were happy to exchange ideas on the design of our kitchen, came up with some innovative ideas and were actively involved in discussing alternatives. The whole project was completed in to the original timescale, communications were very good and the installation was very professionally done by the team to a very high standard. The small number of snags were resolved within days and the budget variations were entirely due to choices made by us.

We cannot recommend Hancock & Read highly enough. They designed, made and fitted a kitchen, utility room and boot room for us. They were incredibly patient and helpful throughout the process and accommodated all of our requests. The installation, fit and finish of the kitchen is great and we subsequently asked Hancock & Read to design and fit a cloakroom as well. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others looking to replace or install a kitchen or other room.

We orginially were having our kitchen from them but we’re so impressed we also asked them to design our fitted bedrooms and the results were amazing as well as affordable. Superb customer service from both Mark & Nicola. The whole process from the initial designs, modifications, build, fitting and completion was nothing short of excellent. All correspondence was prompt and nothing was too much trouble. This is one of the few companies who visit your house (very early on a weekend if necessary), draw up plans prior to exchanging money and continue to visit throughout the build. We also had many phone calls/face-time calls well outside normal working hours to ensure our needs were met. This level of customer service is rare and bespoke for each customer. You speak directly with the owner Mark and designer Nicola who both know your requirements inside out. Our kitchen was delivered early on a Saturday morning so they could make a prompt start building and installing it the following Monday morning. Another example of how efficient they are. We were impressed by their knowledge, quality of workmanship and attention to detail. We now have our dream kitchen for a very competitive price. I have used Hancock & Read for several years now, They have successfully completed various projects ranging from Bedrooms ,Kitchens, Dressing Rooms, Utility Rooms , Home Offices Including Wardrobes , Dressing Tables, Bedside tables , Draw Units, All bespoke and in several houses so several styles over the years, I would say one of H&R strength's is there ability to adapt where other company's try to get you to compromise to achieve the end result, Another great thing they do, The fitters are excellent and best of all very clean and always tidy up including hovering up.....! We used Hancock and Reed early last year to build a bespoke kitchen for us. Without hesitation, we highly recommend them. The work was simply first class and the quality everything you could wish for. The time that Mark and Nicola took from the planning to completion stage was exceptional. This was a massive investment for us and we didn't have any room for mistakes. Mark advised us on every step of the project, kept us fully informed on any need for changes to plan and made some cool recommendations. Best testimony? I cannot recommend Hancock & Read highly enough from the initial stages of the process: design and planning through to installation and final finishing. Each member of the team was extremely knowledgably, professional, helpful and courteous. we commissioned H & R to install a fitted kitchen, home office and bedroom suites for 3 rooms, so it was a big project. Communication throughout was excellent and the final finished products far exceeded expectations and look amazing. Hancock & Read are an excellent company to work with, competitively priced and delivering a quality product within the promised time scale. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them.

Mark and Nicola can not only provide great designs for clients, but when I have been to them with very specific ideas for projects, which they may not have manufactured before, they are able to turn what I have imagined in my head into reality to make truly bespoke designs. The team that come out to complete the works are a great group of guys, who leave the house immaculate at the end of each day and treat my home with the upmost respect. Since using Mark for a project to create a bespoke utility/boot room/cloak room, I have not been to anyone else for any further projects which include a kitchen island, 2 very large wardrobes, and 2 bathrooms. Hancock and read offer a personal listed service with really great aftercare and nothing is too much trouble.

I have recently had a new kitchen from Hancock & Read who provided an excellent bespoke service. The cabinetry is exactly what I wanted. From the owner - Mark Read, kitchen designer - Nicola, joiners and painters, all are obliging, polite and made me feel that nothing was too much trouble.
