Granite Plus

These people are crooks. We put down 50% on a slab of Granite (not cheap) They charged us another 40% when they got ready to template. (All done on Credit Card) My husband wrote an e-mail complaining that we hadn't EVEN GOTEN THE PRODUCT why did he bill us!! Manager Randy in billing canceled our order (even with 90% already on card) because he didn't like my husbands e-mail. I called Randy twice the first time he said they were going to charge me 25% for canceled order. When I told him 'he' canceled not us he said he'd speak to the owner and get back to me that day. Called again in afternoon he said 'owner just got i' and he's call me in an hour.. Nothing House is torn up I have to dispute the payments to this company and canceled my card because of poor faith in integrity of these people. Unbelievable

When purchasing the jumbo slab for a project ($4,000.00) Wendi (salesperson), was advised that our bathroom would not be demolished and rebuilt for a month. We paid 50% down on the slab. The very next day; the accounting department (Ron) is sending me an invoice saying the final 50% was due and that the employee that takes measurements for the cut-outs would be at our house the following day. We corrected that SNAFU. A month later (which was yesterday) - our bathroom is ready for countertop and we called Granite Plus. They promptly sent the employee to create the template, and then immediately (same afternoon - yesterday) submitted an invoice for the final 50% (due upon receipt). I immediately replied (yesterday afternoon) saying that I would pay the final 50% at the completion of the job (countertop not installed yet). Today, the previous card (used for initial 50%) was charged for the balance. We have not even approved the template layout yet.... I wrote the accounting person (Ron) and asked him; "Do you pay for a car in full before you test drive it?" To top it all off; they advertise a small discount if paid in cash. Since Ron did not afford me the opportunity to pay in cash; we did not get the $54.00 discount. Wendi is a very nice sales person. But, that is about all I can say on the positive side for this company. Update: Store Manager called and cancelled our project because he did not like my email that explained I would back-charge my credit card if there was anything wrong with the final installation. We will see if we get the full refund.

My husband and I searched for the "right" granite and the "right" company that we wanted to do business with for almost 2 years. We did not just hit the local granite shops but traveled as far as Pensacola, Fort Walton and Panama City. When we met Lane at Granite Plus we were more than impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, quality of work and his prices! He even sent us to a local slab shop down the street so we could see items he did not have. We found a granite that "spoke to us", but since there were 4 slabs of it we wanted to see them all and to pick the one we wanted. Lane arranged this for us and personally came down to help us when making the final selection. We then had a choice of many edge treatments and the best part of the process was that they were able to lay out our 55' kitchen on one slab when everyone else wanted us to pay for two slabs when we only needed a tad more than one! Mike came to measure and did a digital print of our kitchen. Counters were ready in a week and had we used Granite Plus for the tear out of our kitchen then we would have only been without our kitchen for 2 days. We had promised our tear out granite to a contractor we knew and thus it added one day to our inconvenience. The installation crew as excellent, neat, courteous and extremely cautious not to cause any damage to our home. I would highly recomment Granite Plus to anyone who values QUALITY, FAIR PRICES, GREAT WORKMANSHIP AND EASY PEOPLE TO WORK WITH!
