Goldberg Design Group exceeded expectations in designing our home. We were looking to build a modern residence on our rural/country estate. Steve was able to design a home that, while modern, harmonized wonderfully with the natural setting. The entire process was very collaborative. We had some very specific requirements and Steve worked with us to ensure those requirements were reflected in the design, while providing excellent advice and consultation based on his vast experience. His entire design process was very efficient and he was always prepared when we met. Putting that much focus and attention on the planning and design phase really paid off Now that we have lived in our home for the past 9 months, we can say that there is nothing we would change. Great job Steve!

Goldberg Design Group did an amazing job with our Chatham Hills Home design in Westfield, IN. Steve was excellent at understanding our unique needs, taking the time to get to know how our family lives, and really grasped what our tastes/preferences were—these all played out in a positive way when we saw the design. I hired Steve with the intent that he would take plans that I purchased and modified, and prepare new construction drawings for me without expectation of much additional design influence. And while he gave me a very fair price with that plan in mind, his value actually came in some of his additional design input. He suggested some minor changes in the floor plan that solved a problem I wasn't even keenly aware of. He also made some valuable suggestions regarding things like garage door sizes that made a much bigger impact than I could have realized. Steve is excellent at what he does, and a true professional, and I would gladly recommend him. My only criticism is that sometimes it would take a little while to get some changes done, but I simply see this as a necessary downside of working with someone who is so sought after that he is very busy.

Steve and his team are at the top of their game. If you're looking for a quality plan with out of the box design , the Goldberg Design Group is who you should hire. Pricing is very competitive but detail and accuracy makes them a good value. I've been a home builder for over 30 years. I've worked with dozens of architects and I've designed hundreds myself. I hand draw but I decided to commit to using CAD. I've worked off and on with Steve for more than 13 years. All I can say is I knew Steve was who I wanted to align myself with. You get what you pay for. Why would you cut corners on a plan for the biggest investment of you and your family's life. All it takes is bad design or bad detail and it can cost you any difference that you pay. I would definitely refer Steve.

Steve re-designed a house for me in 2016 and did an excellent job. His outside the box design and attention to detail ensured a successful remodel and a beautiful before and after!

With great ideas, fantastic listening skills and recommendations/support of the additional structural changes we needed to completely transform a 1974 ranch-style home, Steven was outstanding to work with and extremely professional. We could not be more pleased.

My husband and I hired Steve Goldberg to design custom house plans. After one meeting where Steve listened to what we liked and didn't like regarding floor plans, he drew a rough draft that was nearly perfect. We made minor changes, of course, but he had incorporated all of our major requests on the first round. During the ongoing process, Steve made helpful suggestions and continued to listen to our preferences as he prepared the final set of plans. He is very professional plus made the process personally enjoyable. Update as of December, 2017: Now that we are approximately 70% of the way into the building process, I have an even greater appreciation for Steve's work. There are some unique features that required a great deal of detail and artful design from Steve. I am even more impressed now that I see the house under construction and realize that it takes a highly skilled architect to lay out the design as masterfully a he did. I have also heard our builder comment that Steve's plans contain all of the information they need. I highly recommend Goldberg Design.

Goldberg Design Group came highly recommended by both our builder and our design team and fully lived up to those expectations. We provided GDG with an online photo of the exterior of our "inspiration" house which Steve then tailored to our very specific inside requirements. Steve had several suggestions which we've only come to appreciate in hindsight -- now wishing we'd listened better earlier in the process! Several iterations were required before we thought it was "just right" and Steve proved to be a patient and tireless consultant throughout.

Steve designed exactly what we knew we were looking for as well as the elements that we didn't even know we wanted. He has a great sense of style and brought great ideas to the table. It has been fun watching his design become reality. The finished product was even better than we imagined it would be!

Goldberg Design Group ("GDG") did a tremendous job helping us build our home. GDG took our ideas and created a design that hit the mark on the first try, such that we made minimal changes from initial draft to construction prints. I am a General Contrator of 30 years. We had the basic concept of what we wanted but could not get it to fit a reasonable foot print. So we hired an Architect. Several thousand dollars later we were not much better off. A friend our ours recommended Goldberg Design. They questioned us about what we wanted, why, how the space would used and many more things. Simply put they nailed it for half the money in less time. 30% less foot print largely more usable space. Exceeded our expectations. How often can you say that happens these days?

My husband & I lost our home to a fire in 2015. After this loss, we decided to build a new house in a different location. Unfortunately, we weren't the couple who "knew what we wanted" or had 2 years of Pinterest Boards made to show our architect. We had little direction to give Steve at our first meeting. Steve design our house plans based on a picture of a French home. As he has always done for us in the past, he nailed it on the first round! Steve is a bit of a genius when it comes to his home design skills.

Steve is an fantastic blend of technical home design expertise and beautiful artistic capability. I have used his company for 2 homes now. He is efficient on the front end because he is great free-hand drawer and works to help clarify what the client is looking for in a home design. He able to create and work in very authentic architectural detail for whatever home style you want. Then, Steve and his staff efficiently create a very substantial set of construction drawings that my builder and I have quite pleased and impressed with. Steve is also very good at digesting topographical data and doing site visits to work with the builder to place a house perfectly on a complicated piece of property. He has nailed it twice for me! I have enjoyed working with him. I highly recommend his services.

After just one short meeting In which he listened to us intently, he presented us a concise quote as well as a timetable in which we would have drawings to review. On his first attempt, Steve absolutely delivered in giving us an over-the-top house of our dreams.
