Gleason and Tankard

Gleason and Tankard completed an extensive remodel of our house, including kitchen and main living areas. From beginning to end they were honest, helpful and professional and easy to work with. We always felt apprised of the costs and projected fees and their estimates were within the range of others. Partner Lucy Wright was the key to the excellent communication process between all the involved parties and in helping to keep the project on course. What we appreciated the most was that it was clear their goal was to make us happy and Mike Gleason and Mike Gunderson, the foreman, often made suggestions that improved our project, even if it meant a delay for them. Bob Tankard also offered excellent advice and was the master of our gorgeous and well constructed cabinets. We have done remodels in the past and this was by far our best experience. The project exceeded our expectations in quality and it was completed on time and under a revised budget.

Mike Gleason and his team are wonderful to work with. Mike is extremely focused on what's best for his clients, he pays attention to details that you don't find with other contractors and he's a problem solver. When you hire a contractor like Gleason and Tankard you get service. They know how to price a job, their subs are excellent, they are quick, but most of all they know about quality. There are a handful of great contractors out there, but few will go the extra mile for their clients. Gleason and Tankard will go out of their way to help with issues, even if they are no part of the scope. They are also all about saving their clients money when possible. I highly recommend Gleason and Tankard for any high end remodel or new construction. They are worth every penny.

Gleason and Tankard are the most fantastic construction company I have ever worked with. As an interior designer I often find myself mediating between the architect, contractor and client. Working with Gleason and Tankard made this easy. Mike, Lucy, Bob and Jeff are a fluid and experienced team and were quite on top of everything well ahead. This allowed me to take the time I needed to resolve questions in a thoughtful way, involve the client and do my part to keep the project on track. Not only was their work top notch, but I was most impressed by the clear communication they had both with me and the client. They had the big picture in mind for the duration of the project while still executing the custom details that define quality architecture. I’d give more stars if I could.

Gleason & Tankard were referred to us by a friend who completed a house remodel a few years earlier. We bid the job to 5 contractors. Gleason & Tankard's bid was not the highest or lowest, but our decision in hiring them came from the professionalism we received from the Project Manager (Lucy Wright), the Foreman (Jeff Phillips), as well as Mike Gleason and Bob Tankard who we got to know during the bidding process. During Tear-Down, Framing and throughout Construction the Gleason & Tankard crew were very respectful to us and our neighbors. We had weekly meetings with the Gleason & Tankard team and the Architects. The Foreman was skilled at communicating with us as homeowners throughout the project and he knew how to tread lightly between the homeowner and the Architect. The construction team was challenged a few times because of the style of our house but they researched appropriately and the outcome is beautiful. The project was a few months behind schedule but that was not due to the construction crew, rather it was due to changes we made to the plans. I should add that their subs were top notch, specifically their Electrical, Plumbing, AV and Flooring subs are professionals I would have hired after doing my own research. Now that the project is finished, I have had the opportunity to reach out to the Gleason & Tankard team and they have been responsive and helpful every time. The Gleason & Tankard crew accommodated me beyond my expectations in every phase of this project and because of that I highly recommend them.
