I had Doug design my side and transom windows for my front enterance over twenty years ago and I still really am very happy with it. Now I am looking into retiring and am wondering if I could get Doug to send his work to my future home in North Carolina.

I needed the glass in my front door replaced and wanted an etched design for aesthetics and privacy. I was referred to Doug and seriously could not be happier with the result. He really took the time to make sure we were on the same page and kept me involved as the project moved. The whole thing was much faster and easier than I thought it would be, and Doug really is an artist and a craftsman when it comes to this stuff. Thanks for the excellent work!

I've had the privilege of seeing several of Design Tech's projects. When Doug wants an extra hand to help install, he sometimes calls me, and I'm there! Whether it’s a Northwest theme with mountains and forest, Asian, floral, abstract, geometric, whatever, he always gives the client what they desire, always with his unique style. Doug has an amazing sense of proportion, and can truly make a two-dimensional piece of glass appear three-dimensional. The best part is seeing the client’s expression as they first experience the finished product when we are done. Always fun when I get a call from Design Tech.

Doug designed an artistically creative solution to screen off a showroom area from our office space. He understood what we wanted to achieve and his ideas turned out to be the focal point of the store's design. Many customers have commented on the beauty and uniqueness of the koi pond- themed etched glass panels. Doug was a joy to work with, his can-do attitude was appreciated. We would recommend Design Tech to anyone searching for a custom look for their home, office or yacht.

As the owner of Blue Dog Glass Art, I've known Doug Fillbach/Design Tech for over 15 years having met through a mutal glass supplier. I recall being instantly impressed not only by his genius artistic creativity in glass design but also by his matching technical ability to design, fabricate and execute flawless installations of exquiste, architectural public works, glass entries, panels, countertops, and sinks. Having collaborated with him on two unique projects; one for a local restaurant and the other a new surgery center, gave me first hand experience with his amazing eye for detail from conception to finished piece with a quality control level that is almost non-existant in today's construction world. The most amazing thing about Doug is the passion in which he approaches and works with all his clients whether they have large or small projects. This unique artist is truly one of a disappearing breed of contemporary artists who have mastered old school technical expertise and quallity. I would highly recommend Doug Fillbach-Design Tech to anyone looking for truly original timeless, yet enduring, architectural art.

I asked Doug Fillbach of Design Tech Artglass to design and construct a leaded glass fireplace screen for our new home. Doug had previously designed and made absolutely beautiful leaded glass dining room and hall way windows for the house, and I wanted something similiar for the screen. Doug's work is impecable. He came out, drew up a cartoon and made a template, and in a few weeks, I had my absolutely perfect fireplace screen. I could not be happier with the workmanship, standards, or price from Design Tech. From beginning to end of the project, Doug made sure I was pleased with what was done. I would highly recommend his work.

Having bought a brand new house, I had a long list of special projects in mind to make my house a home. As part of that process, and as an artist myself, I contracted with many arts and crafts, interior professionals. Doug Fillbach was by far and away one of the best and most memorable, From the very beginning of our working relationship he asked all the right questions, showed great attention to details, and went the distance to understand my personal aesthetics, taste, and preferences, as well as client education with art glass processes. In a short amount of time I was completely confident that he understood the creative challenges as well as expertly equipped to handle the technical details. He is master craftsman with glass design and stellar mechanical aptitude. His many years of experience have only seemingly enhanced his enthusiasm and innovation of his art form. The project was collaborative and enjoyable from beginning to end, He viewed all challenges as creative opportunities to problem solve. He was a pleasure to work with, and the end result was stunning.

Doug Fillbach, the principal, designed and installed etched glass panels to fit into sliding interior doors, and he also selected and installed a mixture of various colors and textures of fine European glass to fit into an oversized front door at new house. I wanted the colors and textures to create visual variety and harmony, and to provide visual privacy to house occupants. Finsished door is beautiful.

Their entry glass doors are nothing short of stunning! Without fail their glass work is one of the projects most beautiful features. An extra bonus, pricing is reasonable too!
