My husband and I had the pleasure of collaborating with Stephen on our new detached two-car garage, with additional storage, in Wayne, PA. Stephen was tasked with a formidable project - to stabilize a 1790s Stone Bank Barn and turn it into a 4-6 bedroom home (with a laundry list of "must haves") on a relatively conservative budget. His imagination and attention to detail is impressive; he instantly grasped the style and design elements that we hoped to accomplish. Our new "Hidden Creek Farm" is truly one of a kind.

Stephen has done three projects for us that comprise three phases of a major home remodel. First was an addition of 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, mud room along with a kitchen remodel and living room expansion. Second was reconfiguring existing space into a new master suite. Finally there was an exterior phase with a garage remodel. Frankly, I think we were pretty difficult customers as it took us a long time to finalize what we wanted to do. Stephen was super patient with us and walked us through the many options. He is creative with excellent design skills but also understands construction realities and was able to help us balance our goals with our budget. Throughout the projects he worked closely with our contractor and really shepherded things along effectively. We love the end product which is a beautiful and functional home and feel we got great value from the work we did. We have recommended Stephen whenever the opportunity has come up and wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

We were introduced to Foley Beam by a contractor we ended up not using. However we were very impressed with Foley Beam and retained their services even through the contractor change. Stephen Foley was there start to finish, implemented our ideas for our large addition and added a lot of details we would not have thought of. His experience with our historical home was integral in navigating the local historical society and over-zealous building inspectors. Foley Beam would be our first call for our next building project.

Stephen Foley was our architect for our 2013 remodel of our Mahoney cape in Bryn Mawr. My wife and I are still in awe of the master suite Stephen was able to design from a basic attic space using only a few perfectly-placed dormers on the existing roof line. We gave Stephen a long list of wants for this suite (i.e. lots of closet space, laundry room, large stall shower, tub, separate his and hers vanities and private toilet room). He got it all in in a fashion that not only feels spacious and comfortable, but that allows for the dormers on the front of the house to add symmetry and aesthetic appeal . At one point, my wife and I wanted to go back to the drawing-board due to ceiling height concerns but Stephen pushed us to go with his original design. We are glad we trusted him and his advice because the finished product exceeds our expectations. He also did a great job with a kitchen redesign, open foyer and space reconfiguration on the first floor of our house. He was also ready, willing and able to help us with selections and other design choices. Stephen was recommended to us by our builder, Ranieri and Kerns, and was also the lowest-price provider of the other architect firms we met with, so a win-win. We highly recommend him, thanks Stephen.
