Lifetime Hardwood Floors

Background: Hardwood flooring, our house has 2-1/4 in. Red Oak identified on sight as a Premium Select variety. Half of our kitchen hardwood floor was removed by a mold remediation team. I wanted to preserve good flooring and expand the floor into several connected areas. In addition, I wanted the floor uniformly refinished. Price: Above selected competitors, but there are many material choices that also affect this. Value: I truly believe that Lifetime Hardwood Floors' overall value far exceeds the other selected competitors in the Omaha area. Selection: Trevor identified my wood species on sight, felt the floor, and identified water damaged boards. He transparently talked through his thought process and informed me of the pros and cons of all of my options through every step, something that I believe truly separates the best from the rest during the selection process. Work: Trevor's word is rock solid and I consider him the most trustworthy professional I've worked with. Communication was direct with no miss-communications. He informed me of his timeline, the work that was going to be done, and expectations for the next part of the process. Everything was always on point. Materials: Most flooring competitors had up to 10 standard stain colors with a traditional polyurethane finish. Lifetime Hardwood Floors put together about 15 sample pieces of varying colors and finishes and brought them to our house based on design discussions in the space. He really cared about us being happy with the color and finishes. He worked hard to give us options to fit our space and desires. We selected a Blue & Gray LED stain with a matte water based finish. The finish was able to be cured with a UV curing process. Due to previous mold concerns, Trevor also let us know that he carries ProCoat Radcoat RX, which is an antimicrobial floor coating. He has information on his website about LED stains, UV curing, Radcoat RX, and Low and Zero-VOC materials. These are modern materials and processes from the industry that Trevor brings to the Omaha area that no one I've talked to previously had mentioned. Finish: I stayed in the house during the finish process. A zip barrier was put up. Trash and sawdust was removed and the floor was vacuumed at the end of each day. The smell of the stain was not noticeable. The smell of the finish was briefly noticeable (~ 1 hour) after application, but was slight and not overbearing. Knowledge: Trevor was always patient listening to my questions and provided honest answers. He really cares to put time and effort into his work and it shows. Trevor displayed a lot of excitement and enthusiasm in designing and completing this project, and I think that's something that defines someone who loves what they do and cares deeply about their work. From leveled smoothness, to color, to the work that I know went into every board, I love our floor; I highly recommend Trevor to anyone who wants to work with an expert on their project.

All we wanted to do was replace the carpet in our home office, master bedroom, and closets with evoke vinyl composite core flooring. What we didn't expect to discover was an uneven 1" thick slab of poured concreate under the entire area on the second level of our house! It took Trevor Haden the better part of three unexpected days to level the floor! Watching him work was like watching wisdom in motion; he knew exactly what to do to solve the problem and created a near-perfect foundation for our new floors. The result was closer to perfection than we could have ever imagined. The floors are beautiful. Trevor's skills, combined with his years of experience really paid off. The best part? Trevor convinced us that if we followed the existing 45° angle of our stone flooring leading into our master bedroom (laying the evoke vinyl composite core flooring on the same continuation of that 45° angle) your eyes would naturally be drawn to the lake views outside. Lifetime Hardwood Floors re-coated a worn, cracked hardwood floor in my living room/dining room to new, pristine condition. The re-coated condition is perfect. After a very thorough search of flooring companies we chose Trevor at Lifetime Hardwood Floors because of his quality of work, price and professionalism. He installed our wood floor in 2004 and it looks as good today as the day he left. His experience helped us by recommending we install the custom hardwood floor at a 45 degree angle because of the size of our kitchen to make it appear larger and he was spot on.
