Farside - Helping you build your home

Chris and Agata were just fabulous throughout the renovation of our home in Preston. We found out about them them via friends of ours who were worked with them on their place and had a great experience. The Farside team had the perfect balance of mastery of their craft in project management coupled with an ability to really listen to us and understand what we were about as a family and how we use our home. The creative part of design was really collaborative and even included our two boys in the process as well. Agata's skill in spacial organisation for both the old and new parts of our home was inspired and we are loving it's usability having being back in our home for a few weeks now. Chris is a Tetris king and kept all the stages of the build with it's multiple moving parts going smoothly. The trades he brought in were highly skilled with great attention to detail and were also lovely people, which was a real bonus for us. They all respect the Farside crew as they work with them regularly and Chris was able to keep everyone on track in a really positive way. The timeline was really well managed with Chris working around some free accommodation that we secured to stay and we were even able to stay at home for the first month which saved us some rental costs. The admin of the project was really transparent with Farside sharing a live budget and timeline with us on DropBox so we could keep track of where we were at. Chris and Agata were really respectful of our budget and gave us options along the way in areas where we could save money if we chose to do so. This was our first renovation and as we did it as an owner builder I would say it is essential to do it with a project manager. Thanks to Chris and Agata and the folks they collaborate with, we now have an amazing home for the next stage of our family adventure and we couldn't be happier. Thanks guys!

Farside was like a knight in shining armour to our rundown and insufficient staffroom and kitchen. With a limited budget, tight timelines and a whole school of people to please, Chris and Agata were the perfect blend of professional, creative and thoughtful. The final result is better than any of us could have imagined and has gone a long way to show our staff how important they are. Thanks Chris and Ag, without you none of this could have happened!

We can’t thank the Farside team enough for transforming our home from an outdated 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom workers cottage to a contemporary, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom family home. They delivered our project on time and on budget, all with good humour, patience and expert knowledge. People ask me why did I pay for a project manager.? Farside made our house renovation possible, coming up with a design, guiding it into reality through drafting, town planning and then the build itself - all in a remarkably short space of time. Chris and Agata have a quality-focused approach, helping us choose elements that gave the build a touch of luxury without sacrificing the budget. And their dedication to sticking to the budget is awesome - it's so easy to go over budget with the many small choices that ultimately add up to a blowout - but our build remained almost exactly to what the original building budget was forecast to be. We can't recommend Farside highly enough.
