Born and raised in the Deep South, I have been exposed to traditional styles of design my whole life. However, my experience in the Interior Design field thus far has been more in the Transitional, European Modern, American Contemporary and Mid-century styles.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Southern Mississippi, CIDA Accredited. I lived and practiced Interior Design in the furniture capital of the world, North Carolina, several years. In Asheville, my focus was residential design with an emphasis in furniture, material selection and space planning. However, I am equipped for commercial design as well.
Presently, I am based out of Anderson Design Center in Hattiesburg, MS. At Anderson's my resources for anything interior related are truly abundant.
I have a keen eye for color and texture. My design philosophy is that every home should reflect the people who live in it. With attention to my clients' wishes and integrating my own expertise, a series of wonderful moments can be created. I want those who come to me for help to love where they dwell on a daily basis. I believe environment highly impacts the human psyche. While there's many reasons I do Interior Design, that belief alone breathes value into it. At the end of the day, it isn't as much about material as it is about people.
