One Touch’s supporting structure, is a high strength aluminum assembly. One Touch frames and steps are made of the same high strength aluminum as the supporting structure. One Touch Aluminum is anodized in silver (standard color). The 9mm plywood used on the One Touch Electric Attic Stairway is treated with D-Blaze fire retardant which meets the UL standards for the designation of FRS Rating. Thus the door panel has met the 30 minute test standards for Flame Spread, Smoke Developed, & Fuel Consumption to achieve the FRS designation by Underwriters Laboratories. The fire retardant treated plywood carries a Class I or ‘A’ rating which is recommended for areas where fire hazards are most severe. Materials with the lowest rate of flame spread (0-25) are classed by all building codes as Class I or ‘A’. D-Blaze’s flame spread characteristics have been tested and approved by the following applicable standards: – NFPA Standard No. 255 – ASTM Standard E-84 – UL Classified with FR-S Rating For energy savings, One Touch’s panel is fully insulated with RMatte aluminum covered foam board with R-5 rating. One Touch is designed to fit all standard residential truss spacing. One Touch will stop it’s extension if an obstacle is in the way.
