I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Elaine D'Alleva-Vehse. She redesigned and remodeled my basement, including bathroom and kitchen. She reconfigured the cabinets so I could use them, instead of purchasing new ones. Her design choices for fixtures were impeccable, and she searched to get the best prices. The best designer by far in Western MA. Elaine is talented and has an eye for creativity. She is kind, friendly and is more than willing to go out of her way to help a client. Everyone I have recommended to work with Elaine have all been satisfied.

Our real estate agent (who we loved) recommended Elaine when we mentioned we needed to renovate our existing screened-in porch area. The previous porch was basically a rushed DIY job, so the screens were all torn and falling off while the wooden framework was chipping away. Elaine was able to work within my timeline and budget, creating simple mockups of her proposed design for me to review before moving forward. Attention to detail was strong once the project was underway, with Elaine providing different samples of the vinyl wood flooring so that we could choose our favorite, and then when our preferred ceiling fan wasn't in stock she kindly installed a similar looking option just until the new/our preferred fan was available. She also noticed that the paint job on our ceiling wasn't up to standard, so she and her contractor worked to paint multiple layers until all the paint was finally even. Those are just a few of the many examples of why Elaine was so great to work with, but overall the biggest thing for us was that she kept constant communication on the progress of the renovation and how long each portion would take. So even though the project took a bit longer to complete than expected, we were kept in the loop throughout the way so that fair expectations were set. On that point I'd just say that these designers and contractors are all swamped, so plan to book any renovations as far out as you can so not to rush the process!

Elaine has a great sense of style and is very easy and fun to work with. Responses to my questions were very timely. So easy to communicate with. She had terrific and unique ideas for our entire apartment redo. Will definitely work with her again.

Elaine was amazing to work with!!! From start to finish she was extremely responsive and had unbelievable attention to detail. My husband and I talked to many contractors before choosing because it was such a big project. We were sold immediately by her design. Her team is also extraordinary and pleasant to work with. Elaine would go shopping for herself or other clients but always thought of my project as well because I would get pictures sent to me of different design ideas along the entire project timeline. She is excellent with keeping on budget and truly cares. At the end of the day she just wants to see a smile on your face when you see the final result and we sure are still smiling. Elaine did an amazing job designing our master bathroom. It was cramped and out dated and now it is bright and roomy! I’m a very indecisive person and she helped me through the whole decision process. She is very responsive and a great problem solver. I highly recommend her!

We bought an out-dated beauty salon and used EDV Home Design & Renovation to renovate it. Elaine did a fantastic job! She took care of everything. She worked closely with us on developing the look, floor plan and colors. Everything was very transparent and there were no surprises. We were kept informed of every detail throughout the whole process while Elaine followed through on each step until completion. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Elaine from EDV Designs was wonderful to work with! We started our renovation of our powder room in January 2020. Then my husband got sick and then we went into lockdown. Elaine was always emailing to find out how we were doing and sending me ideas and pictures of what she thought we might like. After the lockdown ended my husband passed away and again Elaine was there to offer sympathy and help. Finally in July Elaine and I stared the project ever careful of Covid 19 restrictions. Again, Elaine stepped up to the plate. She was constantly checking in to see that everything was going well. Was I pleased with this, did I want to change that. The project was completed in August and I can't be happier. It came out just the way my husband and I imagined it! Elaine couldn't have been more helpful. I am going to update my family room and I would work with no one else but Elaine. I recommend Elaine to anyone who wants someone who checks every detail and takes such pride in her work. She is the best!

Elaine came over and asked questions to get a feel for what I like and am looking for in our kitchen, dining area, and entryway. She drew up digital photos for us of her proposed changes and honored our budget. She helped us pick out lights, mirrors, tiles, cabinet hardware, vanities, and paint colors! I trust her judgement based on the beautiful renovations that I’ve seen her do, yet she stays true to the clients taste and wishes when appropriate. Elaine is prompt, reliable, trustworthy, and talented! I will definitely use Elaine for our new project.

Elaine was a delight to work with. She was very responsive which was such a nice surprise when working with a contractor. She remodeled our kitchen, living room, and bathroom. I have champagne taste and a beer budget. Elaine was communicative, found great substitutes that were in our price range, and gave us a lot of choices. Any issues we have had she immediately responds and coordinates a solution within 24 hrs. Her team was really pleasant to work with.
