The rest of the story. This individual was in a conflict with his General contractor and original siding contractor. ( I was not the original siding company.) He was holding thousands of dollars of payment from his GC and other subcontractors. I was called and reluctantly agreed to help. We did $2,500.00 of impeccable repairs during which time Greg (the owner) was trying to hire my crew on the side for additional work. My crew refused to work for him without my involvement so Greg then came to me again to try and hire me for the additional work. I told him, trying to hire my crew behind my back was unethical and I no longer wished to work for him. "Shylock" is a character in a book and is spot on. I don't know his ethnic origin and don't care. Read the book " The Merchant of Venice" by William Shakespeare. I bet I'm the only one that got paid in full. I will forever wear this "1 star" as a badge of honor. A battle scar from the SJW BS. Thank you. 40 years and going strong.
P.S. I was not contracted by the General contractor. Greg made the agreement direct to my company and paid us direct. I also spent about 2 hours with him during the free inspection and tried to talk him out of the repairs he was insisting on and told him the previous contractor did a decent job. He hired me after all my free counsel and recommendation to leave well enough alone. In my final correspondence, when I refused to do more work, I encouraged him not to be a "Shylock" If the shoe fits, wear it. Normally I take the responsibility, Not with this one.
