Dennis has a great background in all types of design projects, from residential to commercial. His style revolves around getting to know his clients and the vision they're hoping to achieve then working closely with them to bring that vision to life...on time and within budget! He doesn't try to "sell" you on his ideas but takes a very collaborative approach, helping to lead you to a very successful outcome. And his awesome sense of humor is a great plus!

We have had the pleasure of working with Mr Dennis Duffy for over thirty years . These projected have included major residential renovations in nyc and San Juan , Puerto Rico along with some commercial sectors . In all of these he has exhibited a keen eye for design , space , form and function in very different settings along with the ability to work with different personalities balancing their goals and expectations . We have found him to be detail oriented and also flexible in both design approach and budget . He has a strong ability to blend existing furnishings and artwork with the architectural setting , layering pieces that he designs specifically for the project , when appropriate. He has always paid attention to our unique interests and needs and made sure they were satisfied . He is able to work well with other team members , architects, builders , tradesmen or condo boards and coop boards in New York City and San Juan . In short Dennis is one interior designer , friend and great human being !

Love him! Dennis is the best interior designer there is! We chose him after a long review of other professional interior designers and have never regretted it. His designs are thoughtful and interactive. His taste is of the highest caliber, but he always offers several options and starts over again if the owners’ concept or the facts on the ground require it. Most importantly, he is always available. He designed us safely and happily through 2,400 square feet that had not been touched since sometime before 1996. We had every conceivable problem a condominium Board of Trustees could throw at you, but he was diplomatic and confidence-inspiring throughout. We've worked with Dennis on multiple projects - a Back Bay condo, a home in Newton, and a second home in Nantucket - over a span of 15 years. He is a tremendously gifted designer with a wonderful eye and an ability to listen carefully and develop ideas that reflect your tastes and are appropriate to the context (e.g. newlywed condo in the city vs. a home for a young family). He has his fingers on the pulse of what's available from leading vendors but is also quite talented at developing original designs; our bedroom furniture, two couches, several rugs, and a kids table with Warhol-inspired painted flowers are all among our collection of original, custom Dennis Duffy creations. Dennis doesn't constrain his initial ideation process with what things cost - and we have some very expensive bar stools that we fell in love with to prove it - but he will also work toward a budget if asked. We gave him a fixed budget for a new 6k foot home on Nantucket - comprised of hundreds of items - Dennis managed a detailed spreadsheet in designing the entire space and was the only partner we worked with in the process who actually hit their budget. Dennis is a truly gifted designer and a great guy and we highly recommend him!

My project consisted of a total renovation of my kitchen and two half bathrooms, painting, staining, wallcovering, hardwood floor refinishing, new lighting fixtures, and window treatments for the entire first level of my home. Also,my staircase was updated with new contemporary balusters. I was extremely satisfied with the professionalism of the firm and the attention given to every detail. I was amazed by the total transformation of my home and how the whole project came together. My designers ability to combine the contemporary look that I wanted while keeping the original character of my Tudor home was not easy. I had complete confidence in all the decisions I had to make due his incredible taste and knowledge. I would not hesitate to recommend Duffy Design Group and look forward in working with Dennis on future projects.
