Donna Elle Design

I have worked with Donna several times, this time to design built-ins for my master bedroom as well as select some new furnishings and draperies throughout the house to "freshen" it up, as after 15 years it has started to look dated. Mission accomplished! It looks refreshed and ready for the next 15 years of easy summer living.

I worked with Donna Elle on the renovation of my summer cottage in Sconset. She was great to work with and my project came out beautifully! My cottage was an older never-renovated structure, with original bead board and funky details. Donna understood the importance of keeping those original details, while freshening functionality. She brought great creativity to my project while still listening to my opinions and requirements. Two of my favorite "Donna's creative moments" were the row of whales tails hooks lined up above a doorway and a painted wall in a bathroom created using some sections of older painted boards from our demo (see photos). I also love her great sources -- see photo of custom dining room table. I would definitely hire Donna again!

Donna Elle is a true professional with an amazing spirt and passion for her field which shows in all aspects of her work. Donna has a keen eye for both the big picture of design as well as the details of a space which can be hard to find in a designer. I had the opportunity to work with Donna on two projects, one to brand and style spaces in a home she designed to garner national publicity in shelter magazines, and a second to style and put the finishing touches on a space she designed. The pleasure was all mine, I assure you to spend time within the spaces she designed as well as to partner with Donna in her vision.

We worked with Donna Elle of Seaside Living on a beautiful seaside home in Falmouth, MA. Donna was easy to work with and extremely organized. Coordination and timeliness are always critical to the success of the project and all of Donna’s selections and deliveries were flawless. Being a high end custom home builder, these are qualities we must have in addition to being totally committed to the team. Her design choices were inspired by the sea with the colors she chose in hues of blues and greens. The custom lighting throughout the home as well as the textures, furniture, accessories, hand-picked custom tile, flooring, and walls treatments all flow together effortlessly to create a magnificent home. We welcome the opportunity to work with Donna Elle again in the future considering she created such incredible finishing touches on a beautiful oceanfront home.

Donna was guiding my design and choices for my home from my architectural plans to the installation of my furniture. My home is my dream home-incredibly beautiful but at the same time incredibly livable, Donna recommended beautiful performance fabrics that are very forgiving of grandchildren's wet bathing suits and chocolate faces. Donna did not sacrifice practicality for design. The soft fabrics, the hand loomed rugs, the seaglass pallet all make my home my haven. It is breathtaking! Thank you, Donna!

Working with Donna was an absolute pleasure. She took the time to understand me as a person and used that understanding to create the perfect design. We were truly partners in this process. My husband and I have worked with Donna over 25 years, initially on window treatments for our homes in Nantucket and Cambridge, MA. When we decided to build a garage and cottage on our property in Nantucket, we enlisted her help to design the entire interior. It was such a delightful and productive relationship working with the team of Donna and the builders, we asked her to help us renovate the kitchen in our main house which turned out, again, more perfect than I thought it could be in the small space we had to work with. As our builder said, he would have walked by the finish Donna suggested for our cabinets a hundred times without a second glance -- but it resembles the texture of drift wood and is perfect for a beach house! Now we have chosen to enlist her help with a major renovation, basement, and addition to our main house on Nantucket. It is just underway, but Donna has already helped us make important design decisions that will make a big difference in the final project. She is so knowledgeable and has such great connections with the entire "trade" she can make things happen quickly and efficiently. She is always our advocate with the architects and the builders! What I really appreciate from Donna is she spends a lot of time trying to understand what you are trying to do with your space and how you want it to make you feel, not just what color scheme, fabrics, finishes, etc. Once she had a good handle on that, she offers up ideas and we we go back and forth on what works, what doesn't work. The final product of the guest cottage is where my husband and I are living our retirement years. It is the most peaceful, beautiful place on Earth to me. The energy is so positive -- everyone comments on it when they enter the space. It is totally functional, efficient, and beautiful -- given it is rather small. Our renovated main house is much bigger and I just can't wait to start on the interior with Donna. I would recommend Donna without reservation to anyone who wants to create a space that totally reflects their desires and hopes both aesthetically and economically! She is the best, responsive and attentive, and she is so much fun to work with - wicked sense of humor!

5 Star is not enough. Donna is one of the best designers that I have worked with over the years of being a Custom Workroom Manager. Donna always goes the extra mile for her clients. Over the years she has sent me photos of projects that she has done. Since we make all of her custom items she will send photos from time to time. I have to say each and everyone of them are breath taking. Donna really knows how to design a room that is comfortable and very stylish. Donna is one to thing outside the box. It shows in her designs. Weather it is a large project or just a one small room. Donna, really knows what the customer is looking for.
