For the first time in our lives, my wife and I needed to hire an architect. We were looking for someone with extensive experience and who was knowledgeable about local building codes. With David Businelli, we fulfilled those requirements and also found a confident architect with vision and integrity. Studio16 Architecture provided design and architectural services for the renovation of our 1979 split level house. We wanted our new home to have a modern European feel and David Businelli was the only architect in the area who could deliver it to us. We selected his firm based on their portfolio and actual work that we could see around Staten Island. All their buildings stand above the rest. David's designs are bold and very unique, they make statements. David loves taking up challenges and meets the restrictive sites with creativity and innovation. No wonder his work has been recognized with multiple awards. David, with his great vision for the space and great technical expertise, transformed our ugly split level house into our dream home. He significantly enlarged it by adding one story and reconfigured the existing interior to give us an open and functional living space. He brought our expectations to a different level and in the end, totally exceeded them. David is highly collaborative. He always addressed our concerns. Due to our personal matters we changed the design many times and David always provided us with different alternatives to accomodate all our needs. Always patient, always pleasant and always flexible, even if it required a 2.5 h drive or late evening meeting just to look at windows that we might like. David ensured that our new home is a true reflection of our family and it's everything we had ever envisioned. We are very lucky to have found him.

When I went to Dave Businelli at Studio 16 and described the residence I wanted designed, he produced plans for a home that was functional and attractive all within the parameters of our wants and needs. He is a consummate professional and takes his craft personally. He is knowledgeable, accountable, easily approachable and I enjoyed the experience of working with him.
