Design West

Michelle at Design West did a FANTASTIC job on my kitchen remodel. It was a complete overhaul and she spent months with me figuring out the design that would work best for my family. She asked questions and challenged me to think outside of what we were use to. The result was a new layout in many respects with many improvements to the flow of the kitchen. Michelle was very patient with me as I was indecisive and she had to redo the drawings many times as I worked through the design ideas. Michelle was able to tailor the cabinet designs to fit our needs and the cabinets are very high quality. She also helped me pick flooring and granite that worked with the cabinet color so it all looks GREAT together. The result, a year later, is I have no regrets - not a single moment of "I wish I had done X differently". I have since referred several neighbors to Design West and would not hesitate to hire Michelle again if I ever had a need. Thank you Michelle!

We have a small 1890 farmhouse that we recently put an addition on which included a kitchen redesign. We went from a small galley style kitchen to a much larger eat in kitchen that opens to a living area. Our goal was to create a more modern kitchen but keeping the farmhouse style and ambiance intact. After searching various other kitchen design companies someone recommended Michelle Cady of Design West and we are so happy that person did. We loved working with her the moment we met her. Something clicked. We were comfortable with expressing all our kitchen needs, budget and concerns with her. Because our house is old the floors are uneven and were quite the challenge as well as the beams in the ceiling and jogs in the walls. Michelle handled it like a pro. She tweaked the plans many times to make it perfect for the space and for us. She created the most beautiful kitchen and made our wish list come true. Next we have lighting and the subway tile backslash to install. (Lights are here and tile is on order) We love our kitchen!! From the cabinets to the farmhouse sink to the Verona range we couldn't be happier. Thanks Michelle for creating the perfect kitchen!

We built our home from the ground up so our kitchen was a blank slate. We had a fantastic experience with Michelle Cady at Design West. It was an open space concept so the kitchen area needed to be pleasing to the eye as well as functional. Michelle learned our style preferences right from the gate and there was an ease in communication. She had many helpful suggestions that we may not have thought of ourselves. She collaborated well with our builder and architect to provide a professional and high quality kitchen. Michelle was easily accessible for any questions during the project and ready to give guidance. After we had moved in, Michelle made a follow up visit to ensure everything went as expected. The re-design or our kitchen was a project that had a 3- week time frame. the goal was to create a modern white kitchen from a small basic space. The new design needed to utilize every inch of space for more cabinets and counter top area. We needed to remove the entire kitchen as well as walls and soffits. The design was perfect from the beginning . Michelle gave me great insight every step of the way from choice of cabinets, to counter tops, to backsplash. She was a pleasure to work with; she has great style and personality. She listened to all my requests and was always available for questions and concerns. Her rapport with our contractors also made this an easy and effective project. This transition could have been a nightmare but it was accomplished on time and on budget.

Michelle did an excellent job designing our kitchen, and gave us all the features we wanted in a a very small space. She is creative with an eye on detail an practicality. I highly recommend this company for your kitchen or bath design needs.

From the moment I entered Design West, I knew I would be in good hands for my kitchen renovation project. I had looked into three other kitchen companies, but none could compare to Design West. To begin with, I was impressed with the way they were forthcoming with their designs. The other companies I explored would not relinquish any plans until a deposit was given. Design West listened to the ideas I had, came up with an initial design and then emailed the plans back and forth for about two weeks, making changes as needed, and did this work prior to any deposit being put down. A feeling of trust resulted. From the owner of Design West, Gerard, to the designer, Michelle, I always felt they were honest with me and had my best interest in mind. Gerard went beyond selling me quality cabinets by connecting me with an amazing contractor, Jamie Aluzzo. I worked most intensely with Michelle, the kitchen designer. She shared her expertise, offered advice, money saving ideas, and really listened to what I wanted. We exchanged emails on a daily basis, often more than once a day and sometimes on the weekends. Michelle never grew tired of my endless questions and different ideas and changes I thought of and responded with her own ideas and expertise. This exchange went on for months! Michelle made sure that everything was in place before ordering and came to my home to make one last measurement and discussion. Once the cabinets arrived, she was in constant contact with the builder and coordinated the installation. When the kitchen was complete, Michelle came over to see the final outcome and presented me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers! From start to finish, Michelle gave her personal touch and I felt we had developed a friendship. Michelle, Gerard, Jamie and each member of the installation crew really cared about my family and my kitchen. Working with Design West was an amazing experience. The quality was impeccable, the service was genuine, they worked within our budget and completed the project on time, as promised. My husband and I couldn’t be more pleased with our kitchen renovation. We give Design West and J. Aluzzo Builders our highest recommendation.
