Design Office

Design Office is a multi-disciplinary design studio based in the city of Mumbai. It was founded by Rishita Das and Rushda Hakim in 2010. Their philosophy is to create and provide individualistic and holistic design results that are reflective of the client and/or the brand. The key to their creative process is to provide something new and inspiring that captures and surprises the senses. Their style can be best described as a paradoxical amalgamation of modern and classical design. Rushda Hakim graduated from Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design, Mumbai, where she served as visiting faculty for two years. She went on to study Interior Styling from Central Saint Martin’s, London, after which she worked as a Interior Stylist for Living Etc magazine. She also worked with architect Promit Nath of Urban Studio India for two years, before establishing her own practise. Rishita Das graduated from Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design, Mumbai. She is an interior & product designer and has previously work with SM studio & Mo-of/Mobile Offices. She was awarded the Durian Society Interiors Award for Product Design on a national level, in 2013. She is also a photography & graphic design enthusiast and serves as a visiting faculty at Rachana Sansad.
