The Design Center at Ricci Lumber

We initially had a positive experience with "Mel," who was always super responsive, when we ordered replacement Velux skylights after a tree hit our house in December 2021. I wanted to order the solar shades for the skylight but at the time the chip shortage made them an out of stock item. Fast forward to spring 2022 and I emailed "Mel" to inquire if the shades were back in stock. No reply. I emailed again in late April. No reply. Mind you, there was also no autoresponder or message saying it was no longer a working email address. We finally went in person and spoke to someone who took down our information, even created a folder for the estimate, and said he would contact us with the estimate for the cost for the two shades. We mentioned that we had been emailing "Mel" and were told they were no longer working there and there was no concern on their part that they had an email address collecting emails to which there was no response. To cap it all off, we never heard back about the estimate for the shades. After waiting two weeks, we just went with a different company. They can't be relied upon by email or in person to follow through at this point.

Bought a new patio door from them which was installed in my home. Thought buying from a local place would be good and thought we'd get decent after sales service. However we soon noticed that the screen door was not the same as the one we had been shown in the show-room and was not sliding correctly. Instead of dealing with the enquiry immediately the representative just kept saying they'd call back and never did. Ultimately we managed to talk to the manager there, who basically said after this many weeks it was too late to do anything about it and essentially accused us of lying about the fault / discrepancy. While its true that through that time the door was used and could have suffered further damage, its also true that we complained about the initial problems within a week of the installation and had they dealt with the issue at the time a lot of frustration and confusion could have been avoided. Overall they took the money (10k) and didn't want to own any of the issues raised and treated us like liars. I wouldnt recommend going there for anything big anymore.

My wife and I just finished building a new house and worked with the WHOLE Ricci Team and are thrilled with the end results. They were great to work with and project came out better than we could ever expect. They made the whole process very easy with their ideas as this is the first house we ever built. Thanks for all your help.

Haven't seen the final product yet as we are still working on the design. I have had several meetings with Jeanne and Billie and am totally enjoying the process!

Re-designing an old and dysfunctional kitchen space was a bit overwhelming and we weren't quite sure what our layout options were. We have a small house and two very busy little boys, so we needed function and durability. We also wanted our kitchen to be the heart of our home with an island big enough to seat 4. Billie, who we worked with at The Design Center, listened to us and delivered on every level. The end result is a beautiful and functional kitchen that has become the center of our home. Billie and the folks we met at The Design Center at Ricci Lumber were comfortable and pleasant to work with from the moment we walked in door. We couldn't be more happy with our experience and we absolutely love our new kitchen!

We received an outstanding service from Billie at Area Kitchen Centre. It was a small project however despite this we received excellent attentive and professional attention. Billie was extremely communicative, helpful, reassuring and saw the job through from an initial telephone consulation right up to attending the installation at our home. We are completely happy and satisfied with the finished product and have no hesitation in highly recommending both Billie and Area Kitchen Centre!

We worked with Billie Jo Senzek at Area Kitchen Centre to design the kitchen and bath cabinetry for two new homes (Mother and daughter). Billie was very accomodating to our thoughts and desires. She showed great attention to detail starting with the basic floor plan all the way to the final finish hardware. She was creative and resourceful in providing us with design suggestions and options which we would not have considered previously. She is very professional in her demeanor and was truly interested in making sure that we received the best possible product along with outstanding customer service.
