I have used Dave and his team for a number of renovation projects as well as a significant outdoor fencing project that needed to be subtle. I worked with Dave, Adam, and Gary on my kitchen, and it was a great experience... I live in an older home, and wanted a vintage look...inset doors, cut-out details on the cabinet doors, old-fashioned latches, all wood cabinets, an adapted, antique dresser as a sink base...not the usual...and no one batted an eyelash. Everything was done professionally, the cabinets are beautifully made, and installed safely and securely (and absolutely no drama). The guys were very knowledgeable about building codes and safety...so they will keep you on the right track there, as well. I believe their pricing was very good, especially considering my somewhat quirky requests... The house is old, there is more work to be done, so they will be back...

Its not often you can give 5 stars without even a hesitation. This is one of those cases. Dave completed 3 beautiful pieces for a project of ours including a beautiful bookcase that has been described by one friend as "that is just OMG". Working with contractors isnt always the easiest thing in the world but with Dave it definitely was. From start to finish on this project, Dave Herrle was an absolute pleasure to work with. A great sense of humor and enthusiasm in an artisan are not requirements for a successful working relationship, but it certainly helped the whole process be infused with joy, Dave worked to bring my vision of a kitchen island (made entirely from spectacular reclaimed chestnut) to life (and exactly in timeframe he committed to). The scale and design are perfect. There is only one problem with it - it is so beautiful, I have a hard time leaving its side. In this age of homogeneity in all things,I also love that it is a one-of-a-kind piece that you won't find at Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware. Cannot not wait to work with Dave again on our next project. This man has PASSION and TALENT in spades!

This past winter I was looking for a wine rack for my kitchen. I contacted Dave about what I was looking for and we discussed the options. I was able to choose the type of wood (dark walnut) and I gave him an idea of what I was looking for with the design. When discussing the rack he was very energetic and made me feel like he was looking forward to the rack as much as I was. When I received the wine rack it was perfect. When looking for carpenters to design and install custom built-ins, a friend who owns a lumber company sent me a list of local carpenters. Dave and Adam were listed, and after phoning a few, Dave phoned within 24 hours, and from there on we knew we were going to hire them. They stayed within budget, met deadlines, and build us beautiful shelves surrounding our new gas fireplace. Awesome job!!!! Very professional, and better still, easy to reach via email when we have questions or concerns. Loved them, would definitely hire them again.

My husband and I had two walls that we hired the Herrle Custom Carpentry too add a reclaimed wood look to. They were able to complete the job ahead of schedule and below the original quote. It was a two day job, our house was left completely cleaned after each day. We are beyond happy with how the project turned out. This was the second project Herrle Custom Carpentry has completed for us and we will continue to hire them at any chance we can get.

Dave was working on a project at a home and we met him there! Very honest really laid back nice guy. Extremely talented guys that get the job done. That's what you want. Let the professionals do there work and they will. They did my office over and it turned out fantastic. We hope to work with them again in the future to build a barn and redo a pool house we have. Outstanding skills but even better ability to listen to words and desires and be able to transform those into a very high end product. Creativity is a very close second. Work also performed at a reasonable cost with alternative ideas for value engineering. Very pleasant personality that gives a sense of they know and understand what they're doing. He built a gorgeous one of a kind maple and walnut cradle for our daughters first baby. It is stunning and unique. A one of a kind to be handed down generations. I also display in my living room a maple topped coffee table to replace my "store bought" one. It makes my whole room come together. I also have various pictures that my other daughter who is an artist/painter, which where framed by Mr. Herrle. Unbelievable talent. I am very pleased at all my dealings with Dave. He truely knows the art of carpentry. If anyone would like to see pictures i will send them to you. My husband and I were living in our new house three months when a pipe burst! Three floors of damage and two destroyed bathrooms later, we were looking for a contractor. Herrle custom carpentry came recommended by a friend and we are truly thankful. Our project was straight forward, however after meeting these guys I soon realized how creative they were and I knew I could trust them to build a custom vanity for the master bath. The piece is a unique mix of old barn wood with a sleek white sink. They even made the more ordinary parts of the renovation interesting and they always kept us informed and educated about all product options. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. Not to mention what a hoot these guys and everyone they work with are!
