Darren was a pleasure to work with on our kitchen remodel. He designed a space that not only beautiful, but functional and in keeping with the style of our home. I wish you had more stars, because that is how I feel about recommending American Homestead Kitchens. Darren has done major renovation for two of my kitchens. The first remodel included removing a wall to increase the size of the kitchen. Before we found Darren, other designers were suggesting filling the space with cabinets, no style, no creativity, no design. Darren, with his architectural and designer eye and background, was able to look at the space, assess what we needed and come up with a brilliant plan. He is organized, with the help of Marchelle, his back office manager, and impeccable when it comes to hiring the construction company to demolish and install. One of my favorite qualities about working with Darren is that he gives you as many or as few choices as you want... He is acutely aware of current trends and style so that if you want to choose from 100 faucets, have at it, but if you want to choose from 3 that would definitely fit into the space, he will offer that option in planning as well. Both kitchens are beautiful! The house with the first kitchen sold in a week - I am convinced the kitchen was a big part of it. The second kitchen, is exactly what we wanted - European, farmhouse, cozy but with all the modern kitchen appliances, materials, cabinetry to die for, and a very cool, comfortable vibe. We used the same knobs in both kitchens as a nod to the first kitchen - which I hated to leave! The projects came in on time and on budget. American Homestead Kitchens is an easy decision for a difficult project. I can't wait to work with Darren again.

Darren was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. My husband and friend installed the cabinets which went prefectly together like a puzzle. He has also done 2 kitchens for my daughter and husband . We all love Darren! Plus he is local - will accommodate you with questions or concerns, also gets to know your style with good ideas to help complete your project.

Darren is a true professional. He is easy to work with and actually listens to what you want. He does not try to upsell you but is focused on assisting you in getting the best looking kitchen for your wishes and within your budget. We had a great experience working with Darren. He took us to various places to assist us in selecting the various pieces of our new fabulous kitchen (counter tops, tile, paint, sink etc). He meets schedules and there were no surprises. He also can connect you with an excellent installer (but does not insist you use his connection). I would highly recommend Darren for anyone doing a kitchen remodel.

Working with Darren on my kitchen design made the entire process for me a breeze. Redoing our kitchen seemed so overwhelming at first, but Darren made the process fun and easy. Hello there! Choosing a kitchen designer can seem like a daunting task, but after meeting Darren from AHK, this choice was super easy. Darren took all the time up front to ask detailed questions about our style, visions for our ideal finishes, the way we move around in the kitchen, what kinds of storage required - everything! His design and proposal was so spot-on I nearly fell off my chair when I saw it. Darren took care to cover every detail throughout the process, offering up suggestions from his experience designing hundreds of kitchens in his portfolio. I would have never had the insight to think of some of these things. One of my favorite suggestions was how he designed the dining workflow on our 10ft island; from trash cabinet (scrape) to sink (rinse) to dishwasher (wash) to unload (plate drawers) to table (set). This whole flow is working like a dream and I can't imagine it any other way. He also had great suggestions about cabinet inserts and organizers which are making me so happy! I literally could not be happier with our new kitchen and I have Darren to thank for such a thoughtful and functional design.

We absolutely LOVED working with Darren from start to finish! He brought our vision to life and was there every step of the way! Although we know he was busy with several other projects at the same time, he made us feel like we were his only client! He continues to be there if/when we have any minor issues (no fault of Darren's) and we really appreciate his continued help as we enjoy our dream kitchen!!

WOW is what I think of the entire experience with Darren at American Homestead Kitchens! Darren was very patient with my husband and I in designing our master bathroom. We totally rearranged the entire bathroom, moved plumbing around, deleted a soaking tub , added a water closet and a larger shower. Darren's design software was incredible . It was so realistic and gave us a 360 view of what the room would be down to the wall colors, tile and plumbing and even granite selections. This was very helpful as it helped us to visualize what the results would be. Darren pays close attention to details and offers great suggestions and recommendations. There were times when we were anxious about the project and Darren's professional demeanor calmed us down. Ultimately we are extremely pleased with the out come as it was all most 100% what we expected from Darren's renderings. First picture is the computer rendering and the second is the finished space.

To put it simply, Darren is the best. My husband and I had been thinking about a kitchen project at our 18th century stone farmhouse for many years, so we went to Darren with a pretty good idea of what we wanted. He instantly understood what our goals were, and made a number of great suggestions as we all fine-tuned the plan –– on layout, flooring, cabinet/shelving supplier, countertop materials, lighting etc. He introduced us to a wonderful contractor (Schilling Construction), and continued to be readily available during the entire project. We trusted Darren so much that in at least a half-dozen instances in which my husband and I differed on which way to go on a particular detail, Darren became our "deciding vote" –– and in every case he turned out to be 100% right. From start to finish, Darren was a true professional, and so much fun to work with too. If we could give him six stars we would.

Darren worked with us to design our beautiful industrial kitchen that pays homage to Bucks County. He was wonderful to work with as we journeyed thru this major project. Black cabinetry, industrial appliances, exposed brick and ventilation, custom cement counter tops, open custom shelving-- Darren along with the crew from Shilling construction brought our dream kitchen to life. Everyone that visits is awestruck-- hard to believe we live in a 25 year old Toll Brothers home. So responsive during this big project--we recommend Darren of American Homestead highly.

Darren was great to work with, from start to finish. He offered lots of advice and found a way to make our budget work for what we wanted done, when other companies/contractors insisted we had to spend more. I would rate this as a 5 star. Darren is professional knows exactly what you want. He made several idea when designing our kitchen and I am so happy with the changes we made. Also we had a issue with our ceiling was uneven because it was a older ceiling so to fix the problem Darren stepped in and got us trim to go around to fit the gaps which looks great. I am very happy with the cabinets we ordered.

Darren was great to work with! He was very patient with all of my questions. Anything that he needed to research he got back to me very quick. He had great ideas as well. He was on site when the cabinets were delivered and installed, very hands on. The cabinets arrived on time and the price was exactly what he quoted. I highly recommend him!

Darren was absolutely fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable and helpful, very accommodating on schedule, and especially patient as I worked through my options to determine what would be best. He built a custom kitchen and custom built-in bar for my whole-house remodel and I could not have been more thrilled with the result. When I reluctantly sold the house for a job relocation the new owners admitted the kitchen was a key determining factor. I still miss the kitchen!

Darrell was a professional from the first visit to the showroom. He was able to offer constructive suggestions, advise about finishes, and support choice regardless of the price of the cabinets. Once ordered, Darrell provided the contract and kept me informed of the expected delivery date. The "shining" moment came, however, with delivery. Darell was on the job site and assured himself that "all was correct" before leaving. It was a pleasure to do business with American Homestead.

We cannot rate Darren and his expertise high enough. He and his team pay attention to every detail which is so very important when one is pursuing a newly designed kitchen. American Homestead minimizes risk as one can see the new design within your actual home space. So cool. Darren delivered a solution for every challenge. He thought about how one operates in the new space more than I did. He also was proactive and gave me numerous options on the kitchen door colors. We decided to redo our kitchen and first floor bathroom as an update to our home. We found Darren and American Homestead Kitchens on Houzz and contacted him. Darren came over to our home and looked at our space and worked with us to create a design that combines our desires with his design experience to arrive at an amazing space we could not have even imagined. What a great experience!! Darren came out to our home and after showing him some pictures of ideas we had for our new kitchen he called us back to his studio and the plans he came up with were exactly what we wanted. After a few changes were made, we proceeded to move forward. Darren went shopping with us for the granite, tile and flooring. He was great at communicating with us during the entire process and we always knew what was going on. Would definitely recommend him and we will be using him again when we redo our bathrooms.

We live in a log home and needed a completely new kitchen with a difficult design and restrictive space. Darren was great from the moment we started working, he listened, observed, plotted and presented a great solution. We gained storage space, coziness, vastly improved function and ultimately a great solution. During the installation, which I mostly undertook as home-owner, Darren was great at answering questions and foreseeing any difficulties. Darrin at American Homestead was definitely the right decision when we hired him to design our new kitchen layout. He worked seamlessly with our contractor and held my hand along the way with all the decisions that had to be made. He worked within our budget to deliver quality cabinets and he really cared. From the hardware to the glass fronts to the soft close drawers, he made sure the little things didn't fall through the cracks. He was never hard to reach, always responded and really wanted us to be happy with the finished product. A true professional that I would recommend to my family and friends. A year and a half later and I couldn't be happier with our choices. We have not had any problems, but I know American Homestead would work with us if we did.

We worked with American Homestead Kitchens, specifically with Darren, on our kitchen that hadn't been remodeled since the 1950's and was limited on space (11' x 11').
