Daikon Lighting

Daikon lights are made to uniquely illuminate multiple spaces. Ranging in style from strikingly minimal to quite complex, these lights radiate industrial and modern auras. I design and build objects of illumination that express a richness and warmth. My designs nod to tradition and push on the edges of what a light can and should be. At the heart of my design work is an interest in blending elements found in ancient sacred spaces like temples and stupas with the visual and material strength of industrial steel. Each style offered has a unique strategy. Some provide just a little extra shine and energy to a space, while others supercharge a whole room. Our simple and elegant Stilk Daikon is suited to smaller spaces or those in need of subtle illumination. The Stilk is lovely hanging solo on a wall or in multiples where more light or action is needed. Or, for a very contemporary and relaxed look, the Stilk can simply lean in a corner - transforming what might be an otherwise dull space into an area of interest. The Pendant Daikon provides a boost to taller spaces, with the visual weight of the steel a sophisticated counterpoint to the bare white of the ceiling. The Chevron Daikon suits middle-ground atmospheres and space scales - making this light a great addition to both quiet spaces like a bedroom or study and to active spaces, like an audio room or dining area. My Nouvea Daikon is the most active of my lights. This light gives any room a supercharge and can be installed in virtually any direction, including the "charge" position - on its side on a table or desk.
