Cru Design

I contacted Cru Design via email over a weekend and received a call back the next week. The designer, Kim, explained their policies and the process and scheduled a time to come by to review the project. We had recently moved into a new house and though we had plenty of our old decorative items, they just didn't fit and we wanted something simpler and brighter, some window treatments, and some help with furniture layout and style. Kim listened to all our concerns and wishes, took a lot of photos, and then went to work putting a design together. When that was finished we met at their offices to review the plans and prices. There was nothing in her plan that we didn't like. She did a great job of understanding our tastes and putting it into a cohesive, comfortable full house plan with an updated style that we liked. I have to say that we did spend more than we wanted to, but we did not provide a target budget and I'm sure she would have worked with that in mind if we had. Our mistake was thinking that we would get the grand plan and then cut it down to our budget number. We did not realize we would like and want to have pretty much everything in the plan. We also liked that she incorporated many keepsakes and our favorite items in the design, which helped make it feel familiar and like 'our' home. We, and our guests (and our dog), have been very comfortable in our new home since the installation. As far as the project itself, communication was clear and timely. Appointments were kept and expectations were clear. The installation went smoothly and we love the results. We would recommend Cru Design for any home design project.

Kim Harubin at CRU was amazing to work with. I contacted her as soon as I moved into my new home. She worked with me in several areas of my home. She listened to what I wanted and what I liked. She was very consiencious of my budget and helped me stay on track. Kim also knows lots of contractors and was a huge help with finding painters, glass companies and many others. Cru Design helped us update our living/kitchen space in our current home and completely design and furnish our entire bay house. Kim is a pleasure to work with. When we moved to our new home, I had no idea how to go about decorating it. A friend recommended Kim Harubin of Cru designs. I've been wowed by the service Kim provided! She showed me several beautiful choices for each piece in the areas she worked on, helped us repurpose some of the furniture we already own, and made sure everything was perfectly installed. My husband and I hired Cru Home Design to help us decorate our new home with our new style ideas. We were extremely please with our designer, Melissa, and her ability to help us decorate with in our style type. She was able to quickly get a feel for what we wanted and found so many fabulous ways to make our house into our home. Melissa worked within our budget and timeline to make our home exactly what we wanted and we could not be any happier! We still call upon Cru Home Design to help us with Christmas decorating and advice and help with other decorating items throughout the year. They always go above and beyond to help us . Cru Home Design did an amazing job helping my family design and furnish the beach house of our dreams. After almost two years of working with an architect to finalize the bones of our ideal vacation home, Allyson Huth at Cru Home became involved in the selection of paints, tiles, finishes and fixtures. She advised us flawlessly on decisions ranging from the smallest of details to the largest of choices. After creating a beautifully integrated palette, Allyson developed an all encompassing interior design plan that married the two very distinct personal styles (of two families) and their collective desires to create a soothing vacation space. The most impressive aspect of this effort that is was done remotely. The finished project, which was installed almost a year after all of the furniture, linens and accessories were purchased, came together absolutely perfectly which was a testament to the talent and vision of Allyson and her team. We could not be more pleased with the gorgeous home that Cru Home Design created for our families to enjoy for a lifetime.
