Payne Creations Tile

Carolyn Payne designed and created a beautiful piece of artwork for my courtyard in Florida. It has become the central focal point of my outdoor living space. The dramatic piece features a blue heron in flight with a black background. Her use of glazed tile and her decision to divide the piece into three sections creates a stunning effect. Payne Creations Tile did 2 tile murals for my Florida home. One is of dolphins jumping out of the ocean and the other she did from a photo I had given her of my sailboat in the Bahamas. They are both beautiful and are the first thing guests comment on. Carolyn is easy and fun to work with and I highly recommend her.

In 2001 we were building our new home on the Tom Watson designed National Golf Club of Kansas City. We soon realized that the guest bathroom was an interior space and needed something to give it life. We were aware that Carolyn was knowledge able about golf and had done several related pieces. We asked her to do a piece based on our knowledge of her previous work. Instead of doing what she had done before she suggested that she and my husband and 2 of our closest golfing neighbors play a round of golf. The result is a "picture window" in that enclosed space where my husband, his friends, the club house and the signature hole are captured. Creativity is Carolyn's gift and our guest bathroom is our window to the club!

Carolyn has proven to be very dependable and understanding on several projects working with me. Always working proficiently with my wants and ideas and those of the builders & installers. She easily captures that certain desire you may have in your mind only or a simple sketch or drawing. That only comes along so naturally with such a talented artist. Carolyn's work is truly something to be proud of and complimentary to your home.

We had Carolyn create some tile artwork in some niches in our house. A sailing scene in our entry, sunflowers in an archway behind the cooktop in our kitchen, and a vineyard scene in our wine cellar. We had the basic idea for each piece, and Carolyn grew our ideas with her creativity. She is very creative, easy to work with and we couldn't be happier with the finished products on our wall. We get compliments from everyone when they see the tile artwork for the first time. Carolyn's prices are very reasonable, which is a bonus to the whole experience.

We commissioned Carolyn Payne to do a 30x48 inch custom tile mural of a blue heron and swans on a lake for an area above our rec. room bar. Carolyn is a very talented artist as well as a tile specialist. She worked with us to get the right scene and setting... She is easy to work with and has good ideas. We hired Carolyn Payne (Payne Creations Tile) to design and create custom tiles for our new swimming pool. We live in Florida so she drew a proposed sketch and send them to us for our approval. She created a 2'x3' mural of an underwater ocean scene with sea horses, turtles, fish and various coral. Very colorful and fun. We have had many compliments on the mural and some of the workmen even took pictures. She also created 4 two-piece tile sets of sea horses to accompany the mural and 8 tiles with shell designs. We would definitely recommend Carolyn on the quality of her work and how easy it was to work with her.

I was searching websites for a tile mural of sunflowers for my kitchen during renovation. I contacted several artists and decided on Carolyn Payne. She advised me with lots of good suggestions as to size and design, then sent several drawings for me to choose from, to be sure it was exactly what I wanted. She even added a ladybug in the flowers for a touch of red (my accent color) in my white kitchen. She was able to get it to me very quickly and packed securely. I couldn't be more pleased. It is definitely the focal point of the room. The sunflowers and little ladybug make me smile every day.

Payne Creations made my backsplash tile for my kitchen and it was extraordinary. I know that I have a one-of-a-kind backsplash that no one else has. Very professional. Very courteous. Very talented.
