Buddha Builders We had a wonderful experience with Colby and his team. They were able to turn our mediocre back yard into a space which we simply can’t spend enough time enjoying. We went from a small concrete slab, to a lit, raised stone deck, and a separate hillside firepit area on what was previously an unusable hillside covered in ivy. Buddha Builders also removed our small front step and gave us a huge, stepped porch with accent lighting and enough room for furniture and space to relax and look out at and enjoy our neighborhood. We met with several contractors, and the first time Colby came to our house we knew he understood what we wanted to make the most of our house’s exterior spaces. Within just a few meetings, we had a very satisfactory budget and schedule finalized. Once work began, it was a (good) whirlwind. The crew showed up, not too early, everyday (including Saturdays), and worked until evening, getting the project done by the promised date – in our case, the 4th of July, and we were able to use it that weekend! They were professional, kept disruption to a minimum (jackhammers and plate compactors aside, haha), and worked with us to accommodate those times I need quiet (I work full-time from home.) Our project manager was consistently communicative, and when we had questions – or ideas for slight changes to the original plan – he either had immediate answers, or let us know he would do his homework and get back to us ASAP rather than try to just give us a quick answer or tell us what we wanted to hear. Despite a few change orders (which we initiated with a few add-ons/tweaks), when it came to pay the final invoice, we only needed a single conversation to confirm we were on the same page. We wrote the check, and that was that. An unusually easy settling-up in my experience with large projects. The result was even more beautiful than we had envisioned, and nearly a year later we are still raving about the project – and the contractor! After having furnished everything and spending a few months with it last summer, we cannot wait to get an entire Spring/Summer out there! Colby and his team at Buddha Builders recently installed a beautiful new front yard and new drainage for my backyard in preparation for an amazing backyard that will take place next year. My husband and I worked with YardZen to design everything and Colby helped refine it with his vision, which was excellent. We absolutely love our front yard - it turned out even better than we had hoped and our future backyard is very exciting. Colby was incredibly responsive and helpful, and it was clear it was very important to him that our family was happy with the end result. Colby and his crew did an amazing job on a major revamp of my front yard, creating a wonderland of beautiful stone pavers and plants where none existed before. They created extensive stone paver walkways and lighted steps that allow access to much of the yard that was inaccessible before. Additionally, they created a stone paver patio and firepit area that added greatly to our enjoyment of the yard. A major component of the make-over was a 45+ foot retaining wall along the side and back, reining in the hill sliding toward our house. All of the workers involved in this job were very professional and friendly, always striving to discover what we wanted and how to best make it work.

Great Outstanding quality and service from the Buddha Builders team! We had a fairly simple project to replace a retaining wall and add patio pavers in our backyard and one side fence. Buddha Builders came up with a design that was above and beyond what we had initially thought to do with our paver project. Their quote was very reasonable compared to others and they overdelivered on materials and labor! The project manager communicated expectations and timelines all throughout the process and even threw in some complementary gravel for a more finished look and added built-in lighting along our retaining wall. The finished patio looks amazing and we have already referred Buddha Builders to a few friends looking for landscaping improvements. We will certainly be using them for future projects.
