Closet And Cabinet Experts

Let the buyer beware when contracting Cabinets and Closets experts. I contracted them to install Laundry Room Cabinets and custom cabinets in my home office to run a home-based craft business out of. I met with and corresponded via e-mail extensively with the sales person to make sure every detail was addressed. He told me that he was a professional and he would make sure everything was installed to my specifications. The installation was supposed to begin on November 1 and take 2 days to complete. It actually took over a month before it was finished. On installation day, their one installer arrived 3 hours late without the knowledge that he was supposed demo my existing cabinets. So right away I knew there was no way one person was going to be able to finish this size job in 2 days. He knew that too, but no one ever informed me. Additionally, they were having equipment issues so he did not even have all of the pieces he was supposed to be installing that day. So he spent most of the day removing my existing cabinetry. He returned the following day, late again, and without the missing pieces for the project which included a fold down desk, my primary work surface. He installed what he could that day and returned the next day which was a Sunday. He ended that day by injuring his hand and having to rush off the the emergency room leaving me in the dark as to when my project would be completed. I had to call on Monday morning to get an update and was told they were still waiting on my missing pieces and were still having equipment issues. After examining two custom drawers and had ordered, I found them not to be built to my size specifications and were completely unusable. In the midst of the installation, we also found that the placement of upper cabinets in the office we drawn way too high and had to be removed and reinstalled at the correct height. After waiting several days for my tabletop to be installed, it arrived with a large chip in the laminate, so it had to be remade. These were the major issues, however, there was one problem after another with this installation causing it to linger on over a month’s time and costing me considerable inconvenience, time and money due to my inability to work in the space. With that said, the company was able to finally get the project completed to my satisfaction, and in fairness, I did have to modify several things during the installation that did add to the time of the installation. The company was good about making those changes and accommodating my needs. The materials were quality materials and the spaces look great. I would say this company would be great for a job requiring standard cabinets or standard closets, however if you need custom work done, their sales staff does not have the necessary training to provide custom applications. I would also not expect the installation to to be completed on time as they seem to have only one reliable installation person who is often overextended. I would not used them again.

This family operated, local closet team is the best. From initial planning through installation and follow up help, They were as professional and efficient as one could ask or expect. I am very pleased with my new master bedroom and laundry closets and with the overall value of the products installed. Thanks Jeff!

The closet is much nicer and much better organized. Everything is neat and orderly. A big improvementt in our walk-in closet.
