We have had the pleasure of working with Chris, Micah and the team at LSA on several projects over the past year. We were truly exhilarated with the outcome of each project both in Chicago and Santa Monica. Chris and Micah made our renovation project into spectacular art. Chris translated what we were thinking into a great and efficient design, put all the details together and made our vision a reality. Chris had exceptional coordination skills with the building board and many contractors throughout the project. He is such a talented, courteous and tasteful architect. In 2014-2015, we worked with Lawton Stanley Architects to completely remodel a 2700 square foot apartment just off Michigan Ave in downtown Chicago. Christopher Lawton and Micah Stanley are both outstanding architects and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them. They made the difficult process of remodeling a total pleasure. They carefully listened and incorporated all of our ideas into the plans, they created a stunning apartment, worked within our budget, coordinated all of the work with the GC and all of the subs, and most important, they were responsive on a daily basis throughout the 12 month process. They turned an outdated apartment into the most beautiful space imaginable. Our friends and family rave about the results. Their attention to every detail was greatly appreciated. Christopher Lawton has proven to be a visionary. Our house sits on a good-sized lot in Glencoe and was constructed 1955 and updated in 1988. Prior to starting the project in July 2014, we had been weighing the possibility of moving. The lot being uniquely situated and well-endowed with a diverse base of vegetation, we invited Christopher and his partner Micah Stanley to explore the possibility of presenting something boldly creative. Our primary challenge was that he needed to stay within the footprint of the existing structure, and in that we would be updating all aspects of the home, to avoid any element that would convey even the slightest hint of flamboyance or starkness. What we ended up with was transformative beyond imagination. The design accentuates light and openness and creates an uplifting calmness that borders on spiritual. The finishes of stone and wood are strong, clean and contemporary but have been accented in a way so as to exude a warmth and livability that is easy and inviting. Helping to convey this sense of comfortable ease was his ability through significant changes in window design to have melded the beauty of the exterior landscape elements into the interior of the home. Christopher and his team were attentive and diligent throughout the entire process. We can feel confident in saying that they added value beyond expectation.

We used Lawton Stanley Architects for our mid sized companies offices and they were extremely creative and professional. I also felt they were respectful of our budget. They worked to find us the best contractor for the scope and budget and we are thrilled with the project.
