Cindy, an American Society of Interior Design affiliate, earned her Certification in Interior Design and B.A. Degree from San Francisco State University and has been serving the Peninsula for over 15 years. She has extensive remodeling project experience and consistently manages the entire process: from initial consultation and needs assessment, through plan development/execution, collaboration with architects and contractors, and selection of finishes, architectural elements, and accessories. Her approach to interior design is to create the perfect balance between visual style and functional space. Her signature style is a harmonious fusion of traditional and modern, by mixing traditional frames with refined modern fabrics, resulting in an updated, timeless style that her clients will enjoy for years. Working with Cindy relieved the anxiety that came along with the countless decisions that had to be made with our first major remodel. She has an impeccable eye for design that she can apply to any style, and her expertise was key in achieving a functional and cohesive result. Without her guidance, I would've made some very regrettable choices... Her service was invaluable and, in the end, made the remodel feel like it was worth every penny.

Cindy was great to work with. She discussed with us our design look and feel and then made recommendations that a chief our goal. We continue to work with Cindy Fromm time to time when we have something to add to our home. I highly recommend Cindy and will continue to use her services

We hired Cindy to help us with a complete overhaul of our very dated kitchen. The brown wallpaper and closed-off rooms were not working for our young family. Cindy took our requirements for the space and the ideas that we had come up with, and she came up with something that was so much better than our wildest dreams. We now have an open living space that combines many different style elements beautifully. When it was time to pick out the furniture, Cindy helped guide the choices while understanding exactly what I was looking for in my style. We couldn't be happier with the new living space!

Cindy helped me decorate many rooms in my house since 2009 and every time I was very happy with her work. She is perfect for a busy person who does not like to spend a ton of time choosing styles and materials. She knew exactly what I would like and coordinated things beautifully. I still love all the rooms she out together after all these years and I continue work with her various projects.

Cindy Olstead is one of the most creative designers in the SF Bay Area. Fortunately I have had the privilege to work with her on some of her projects. She has a gifted design sense and color sensitivity. I would highly recommend her on any project you may be considering.

Cindy provided design services for the interior remodel of our living room and dining room. This included selection of hardwood flooring and area rugs, fireplace redesign along with stone selection, fabric for living room and dining room upholstered furniture, window coverings, consoles and storage cabinets, and paint colors. Cindy made excellent design selections and kept the project on track. I will be working with her again on future interior design projects. It was a joy to work with her!

Cindy worked with us to redo our living area. She has a wonderful color sense and quickly caught on to our likes and dislikes. The fabric choices she brought us were spot on. She helped us with specific shelving ideas. All the work people that she recommended to us were great. The only reason that I have not given Cindy 5 stars is that I think she should have ordered many of the items at the same time as the furniture so that most of the items were here before the contractor started work. Some construction items were incomplete and there had to be additional orders. We are delighted with the completed work. Smile each time we return to the house after being away.

Cindy did an excellent job decorating our home. She was a great listener and understood how we wanted our house to look and feel at the end of the project. This was the first time I had ever worked with an interior designer and she took the time to get to know what we liked and disliked - there were times when my husband and I could not agree, and Cindy did a great job filtering our ideas and coming up with ideas and suggestion we could both agree on. She was also conscious of our budget, but did not compromise on quality. She has an amazing knack for paint colors and made every room feel warm and inviting with the tones she selected. The window covering she selected look amazing. She helped us with many aspects of our interior design and we cannot recommend her enough. We look forward to working with her again on our next project!

Cindy helped us furnish our living room in our Craftsman home and we found her to be excellent to work with. Cindy is very good at listening to what you want and incorporating that into what you need. She is responsive, works quickly, and helps you decide when it's best to spend for a premium product in certain cases and redirect your resources in other cases. She has a very good sense for creating comfortable, functional, and beautiful spaces. We are continuing to work with Cindy on larger projects in our house, and we strongly recommend her for other clients.

Cindy designed almost every room in our house and we couldn't be happier with the results. From furniture, wall paint colours, art, window treatment and even accessories, she completely changed our house from looking like an ordinary, boring one to something that reflected our style and stayed within our budget. She's extremely talented and easy to work with, and we felt completely comfortable trusting her judgement. We've used Cindy twice now, and this second time, we've just finished a major remodel she helped us design. From beginning to end, she was instrumental in helping us determine best layout, materials, colors and design while keeping in mind our lifestyle for functionality of every room. After taking into account our tastes and personal style, things came together better than ever. Trusting Cindy's eye for design was the best thing we did. We're extemely happy with the results and highly recommend her!

I used Cindy for a complete home remodel. She did everything ranging from layout, to floor and tile selection, to paint and trim color. We received compliments from both our GC and painter on our selection. Could not be happier with the way things turned out. Thanks Cindy!
