Chris did a full reno on our ranch style home about this time last year. The reno turned out great! The project was on time and on budget (except for a few things we added during the build). Chris was very professional and he took pride in making sure we were happy with the final results. We had interviewed a few different firms for the project beforehand and ended up picking Chris because of his timeliness and attention to detail. We're very happy we did. I would definitely recommend Chris to anyone looking to have similar work done.

We hired Chris to remodel our bathroom in our old craftsman bungalow last summer. As with old house projects, it was not without challenges. However, Chris looked out for our best interests and made sure things were done correctly. He communicated with us constantly, which was very helpful. We're very pleased with the final result.

We had a significant and time constrained project on our house. Chris and his team met our timeframe and budget. We have recommended him to others who have had great experiences as well. The work was top quality, the teams working were courteous and professional. We had a fairly catastrophic leak in our master bathroom with a large insurance claim. The water had spread out of our shower pan into the main area of our bathroom, which is quite large and fully tiled. Long story short, we ended up having to tear out the entire bathroom and start from the drywall in. HouseSmith did a fantastic job; everything was done in a timely fashion, the quality of work was exceptional with a lot of attention to detail, and our bathroom looks better than ever. It was already a high-end finish from the builder, but it now looks like a bathroom from a house twice the price.

Chris Young and Housesmith managed our home renovation and expansion project which required a full scope of subcontractor specializations, and involved many custom finishes and details over the course of 6 months. Chris was extremely attentive to owner input, and he delivered the quality that he had promised. Chris brings a discerning, designer-like eye to the job, and he "went the extra mile" to deliver quality while also maintaining a close focus on containing costs. There is a peace of mind that comes from knowing that your GC fully grasps your vision for the home, and is capable of delivering on that vision. Before renovation, the home took only minimal advantage of its position overlooking a lake. Many of the improvements were intended to improve on that view.

HouseSmith has done two different renovations for my home. (Budget required segmenting the renovations into two projects.) Chris Young does work of very high quality, and is meticulous about details. He chooses sub-contractors that share his high standards, and follows up on their work. Carpentry, electric, plumbing, HVAC, painting and more were all completed extremely well and on schedule. Budget was an important concern for me, and Chris made sure that any impacts to the budget and schedule were discussed with me and resolutions found. His eye for design helped considerably in decisions that were needed during both projects. Above all, I find Chris to be a person of integrity, who truly cares about completing a project well. I would not hesitate to hire him again!

Mr. Young was the general contractor for 100% of my interior rennovations to a 6 room rental property in Morningside. He transformed a dated 1980s residence into a modern, Euro-style living space. The efforts included replacing both upstairs and downstairs hardwood floors (approximatey 3,500 square feet), upating 4 bathrooms with new and consistent fixtures, he and his colleagues selected new cabinets for kitchen, bathrooms, and office areas, installation of 11 solid doors including the replacement of several pocket doors, interior space color selection and painting for all rooms, internal wiring for both cable coax and Ethernet Cat5e, electrical rewiring where needed, and the installation of 4 Haiku fans. The attached pictures of great/conference room don not do justice to shown his work efforts. Mr. Young provided timely progress reports and detailed cash draw invocies for bi-weekly payments. It was a pleasure to work with him and he provided an extraordinary level of trustworthiness that made the challenging process less stressful. His useful suggestions for improvements to specific rooms helped me to avoid several mistakes. He also provided references for others subcontractors to handle special task such as replacement two pane windows. He has my highest recommendation and I would engage for future similar efforts.

Chris and his team built a home that we designed in Atlanta. As architects, we are very demanding of our contractors and Chris definitely lived up to the challenge. Not only did he implement our design masterfully, he was also able to help with value engineering, updated pricing, and budget tracking. Chris is very conscientious and really strives to make sure he follows our designs thoroughly His personality and demeanor make it very easy to work with him. It takes a lot to be a recommended contractor with our firm and we wholeheartedly recommend Chris. We look forward to our next project with him.

We chose Chris to add a 2 story addition and update the kitchen in our house in Buckhead. He was the consummate professional- always prompt, attentive to every detail, responsive to all our needs and great with helping us make selections. He has wonderful style and taste (much better than mine) and I was so thankful to have him there to offer his professional opinion on materials, fixtures, paint colors etc. We were living in the house at the time and have 4 daughters to take care of. Chris managed to gracefully navigate around us so we were not be pulling our hair out. He kept us informed of every aspect along the way and always kept the job site clean. He works on a fixed cost so we never had to be concerned about exceeding the budget and he finished the job right on time. He was wonderful to work with and we would definitely use him on our next project. Once the renovation ended, our family was sad to see him go and we truly missed having him here every day.
