We are extremely pleased with the entire heritage design studio team. Chris, Angela & Jose spent more time than we had signed them for. We made multiple changes going through the draft, they were very patient and handled the changes very efficiently and their response was always prompt. We can not thank them enough for their professionalism. They were one phone call away, one of them was always available to help. Marlene their interior designer is extremely knowledgeable, she brings great resources and value to the team.

We told the Heritage team what we wanted in our hew house and they designed a beautiful home. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for creative and inspired architects.

From start to finish, every part of our process with Heritage was great. The service, correspondence and hospitality are all top notch! We were able to do everything in house and Heritage was even able to bring in contractors to interview while we were in for a visit. We travel from California to Texas (where we will be relocating) so to have everything done so timely and efficiently is huge for us. We had some unusual requests/asks and they completed each task with a smile and it was such a great process for us. We are really thankful that they have a design team under the same roof and Chris, Angela and Shavawn and her team have all been fantastic. Angela was even able to take us around and show us a couple of their completed projects, as well as a walk-through of one that was mid-build. We could not have asked for more and I would highly, highly recommend Heritage for any of your design and home planning needs. Please feel free to ask Heritage for my contact info as I would gladly answer any questions and offer additional feedback about this dynamic team! Thank you Heritage!!

Heritage Design Studio – What a blessing to have chosen them. Chris and Angela, the owners, as well as Shawn and Andrew are the consummate professionals! Chris and Angela visited the home we were currently living in to get a very good feel for our lifestyle and vision for our new home. Their attention to detail is second to none. The use of their proprietary 3D modeling software made a huge positive difference in the outcome of the design. It allows one to travel through the home and see it in 3D as it has currently been designed. This, in conjunction with the ongoing updated blueprints they provide, is a huge improvement over the standard process. Thank you, Chris, and Angela, we LOVE our new home!

It was such a pleasure to work with Chris and Angela and to get to know them. They made us feel welcomed with their warm hospitality from the very first meeting.

From the moment I walked into the Heritage Design Studio office, I could sense the professional approach that Chris and Angela deliver. After photographing several luxury homes for HDS, it is evident that the trust their clients have in working with them is largely due to the relationships that are established and the collaboration that allows the homeowners to be at ease throughout the design phase. Even after the construction is complete and the homeowners have settled in, they are at peace knowing the meticulous design work and quality craftmanship that went into their home will be enjoyed by friends and family for many years to come. The Heritage Design Studio portfolio speaks for itself but I give my honest recommendation if you want to be treated right and be proud of your home.

Heritage Design Studio made our home design experience seem effortless. Chris, Angela, Shawn and Andrew took the stress out of walking through the design process for us. We have truly enjoyed working with Heritage Design Studio to design our new home. Shawn Webb and Angela Hough were a great team taking our layout vision and functional goals for our new home and developing them into a beautiful design. As first timers building a custom home, we were pleasantly surprised with how smooth the design process went. We hired Heritage Design Studio to design our new four thousand square foot English Cotswald style home. Their professionalism cannot be surpassed. Professional with every step of the process. We felt like they really listened to the ideas we wanted as well as gave us several new ideas we didn't think about. They gave us creative solutions and provided exceptional tools to communicate our new home design such as the 3D model, which was so very helpful. We did not hit any snags whatsoever. Working with Heritage Design Studio was a wonderful experience during a process that can often times be stressful. What a blessing!

My husband and I hired Heritage after meeting with several architect firms in the Dfw area. We were immediately impressed with Chris and his team. They listened to our wish list and didnt miss a thing. They gave such careful consideration to the way we live and how we wanted this home to function with our lifestlye. They were incredibly patient to our ever changing decisions, always open to ideas we brought to them, but mostly offered amazing ideas to us! While we have built many homes with builders, this is our first custom job we have ever taken on and we could not have gotten a better partner to do it with than Heritage. This home is a huge investment for us. Its our life long dream and we are grateful to Heritage for being so wonderful throughout the process. We wish Heritage much success and hope to get the opportunity to recommend them in the future!!

Y'all have made this project a lot of fun! The house is something we are very proud to have our name on, and we often stop by the construction site to see the progress. It's a real gem, and reflects your personalities well.
We engaged Heritage Design Studio for a major remodel and addition to our home. The first time we walked into the studio to review Chris' initial design following our consultation, we were stunned at how he translated our thoughts and words into his design. It was EXACTLY what we wanted (including a nod to our dog and a specially designed wine vault) and we laughed that we were trying really hard to find something to change just so we had something to talk about. Chris and Angela are extremely talented professionals with a twist of fun, we enjoyed and looked forward to each of our design meetings. We would definitely use them again.

Chris and Angela are exceptional in their work and service. The time we spent with them was productive, as well as enjoyable. They made us feel welcomed with warm hospitality and were very accomodating to our schedule. We had to travel from CA to meet with them and their flexibility was greatly appreciated. They allowed for a free flow of creativity and ideas. There was humbleness in their approach and with the talent they possess, this was also very appreciated. Their creativity and knowledge was exceptional, the quality met all expectations and they took pressure off of us because of their knowledge of the HOA requirements. They met both deadlines and budget. They were also fun to work with! I would highly recommend them.

Heritage Designs developed our house plans based on a concept of a mid-19th century farm house. They totally embraced the project and not only created the design, Chris went further to help us develop a story line for the home. Their support team is capable and they helped us through the process to choose the builder for this unique project. Chris and Angela were terrific to work with and they are super nice individuals.

Chris and Angela Hough are wonderful people to work with. Great follow through and always willing to listen to needs of the customer. They prepared a design for a living addition for my mother and took great care in making the project work for everyone involved. Great assistance in finding the contractor once the plans were ready. After interviewing 4 to 5 design houses for my custom home design I decided to go with Heritage Design Studios folks. The whole experience was one of dealing with very professional and very talented people.
Chris has a great sense of space and floor planning. His ability to translate ideas into quick hand drawn sketches is impressive.
Everybody at the office makes you feel comfortable. I never had to send an email or a request twice.
They’re always very responsive.
I hope that the building phase of my project goes as smooth as the design phase of it.
I recommended them to a friend of mine and they did not disappoint him. My builder after seeing the quality of their work also told me that he would recommend them to his clients as well.

After several investigation to design my home (Mediterranean style with ICF wall, Concrete Tile, etc.) I have decided to choose "Heritage Design Studio" as my design house.
I have found the team to be very responsive and able to work through complex issues that arise during the detailed design phase. I had the opportunity to work with other architects before and I can tell you Heritage Design Studio is by far the best I have ever dealt with.
I would like to add that Chris Hough is a genius and talented home designer in drawing your dream home by hand before the design is put in the computer. He can read you mind when you describes to him your vision.
I would strongly recommend this design house for any one who want to design a beautiful home.
I would like to thank all the people working in this studio who made this design successful including Angela and Shawn. Also I do not forget Judi, Office executive assistant.

I had the opportunity to engage Heritage Design on a remodel of the first floor of my home, including the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Chris and Angela were extremely professional, talented and overall great to work with. They understood my vision and translated it into a wonderful and functional design. Beauty, elegance, and timelessness are the words to describe Chris' houses, and I think most would agree judging from the the photos of his work on Houzz. I love the design Chris and Angela came up for me, and I couldn't imagine living in any other structure as I am ready to start construction.
What pictures can't show you however, are Chris and Angela's professionalism that make the process of designing a home so pleasant. They are some of the most down to earth, and easy to talk to individuals, who really know how to listen. They are punctual and focused on detail. Chris' knowledge of not only aesthetics, space, and flow, but critical issues of the house's performance, based on building science, are of the highest caliber. I've interviewed several architects who were too good for the ground they walked on, but Chris and Angela were always respectful of my budgetary concerns and always sought to give me great value at all possible opportunities. I am immensely proud of the house I will be building.
If you only knew what I know now, you wouldn't bother with any other architect.

I have recently completed the design process with Heritage and the process was great. I was excited to design my own house but also very nervous. They made it simple and fun. From the first day I walked into their office, I was amazed at the amount of research and preparation they had done. They asked great questions and gave fantastic options. It was great to see the vision in my head come out on paper and then to get to see it in 3D was amazing. The ability to change and tweak anything you wanted and see the difference right there in 3D really helped. The office experience was great also. From cappuccinos and snacks, to fun and laughter, it was easy to get along with them. I cannot wait to complete the building process and see what we created in person. I would highly recommend Heritage Design Studios to anyone that is looking to design their own house.

My road leading up to meeting Chris at Heritage Design Studio was a rough one. Suffice it to say, I had spent over a year's time and several thousands of dollars and still did not have a design that I could build. Chris agreed to work with me on my severely wounded design. He was so nice and extremely knowledgeable! He not only knows what he's doing when it comes to drawing the design, he also has great ideas and an in depth wisdom regarding architectural types and history. He's very attentive to detail and, by the time he was done, there was a beautiful, BUILDABLE model of the home I envisioned! He has absolutely restored by faith in architects. Thank you so much, Chris!

We worked with Heritage Design Studio while designing plans for our new home. Chris and Angela are and awesome team. Chris has incredible knowledge about architectural and period design while Angela always reminded us about our lifestyle goals while designing this project. We are busy professionals with crazy schedules, and Chris always accommodated our needs. We usually met in the late afternoons, sometimes well into the evening. We started out with a meeting describing what we wanted in a new home, and a detailed description of our families needs and lifestyle. With each meeting as we delved deeper in to the plans, there was constant attention to our desires. We especially enjoyed the team approach as our builder was also an integral part of the plans and discussions. We ended up with beautiful plans, and surely will end up with a gorgeous home! Can not wait to get started!!

Calais Custom Homes has worked with Chris Hough at Hertiage Design Studio for a number of years. They have always done a great job and I would highly recommend them. Chris is a very creative architect who works well with clients ideas to create a unquie home for each client. They have a great staff including Chris' wife Angela, who tends to each customers unique needs. Heritage Design Studios are currently finishing plans for a $6.5M, 12,000 sf spec home we will be starting in Preston Hollow this month. Thanks

We hired Chrisopher to design a home with an in law suite that would suit not just my family but my extended family. His ability to translate concepts/ideas/preferences/thoughts into a well though out, practical, creative home design goes above and beyond anything we could have anticipated.
We are simply awed time and time again by his almost instantaneous grasp of how to redesign a space in a matter of seconds into something even better than what we had envisioned. Simply put, architectual design is in Chris' DNA and it is reflected in the beauty and creativity of the homes and floor plan designs.
Should we require home design services again in the future, we would not hesitate to engage Heritage/Chris and would recommend them to anyone looking to embark on the nebulous journey of home design.
