We hired Gary to remodel our regular fireplace to a gas one. He and his team were amazing. He personally made the mantle for the fireplace, and gave great suggestions when trying to figure out what to do with the floor now that the hearth was gone. Gary suggested that we do a picture frame with the left over hardwood flooring we had instead of trying to integrate the old hardwood with the new one. Since the colours didn't match, his picture frame idea was perfect and solved the issue of the different wood tones. We was an absolute pleasure to work with, answering all my questions and concerns. He even fixed our lazy Susan door for us, even though it wasn't part of the renovation. I liked working with him so much, that I have hired him again to renovate our bathroom.

Diane & Claude Many thanks to Gary and his team of professionals for the fantastic work they did renovating all our second-floor bedroom, offices, and open space. The work included the repair of all walls, reframing of all windows, door entrances, wardrobes and baseboards and then paint the overall. The work was done to perfection and space kept clean of the end of each day. Gary and his team are very personable, and Gary’s communication is great. We would not hesitate to call Chaplin Home improvement for any future work and highly recommend them to anyone with confidence

Chaplin Home Improvements did a stellar job renovating our Ensuite Bathroom which involved removing a wall and moving another wall. When we found an unexpected 'surprise' behind the wall - the 'new' plan was met with good ideas that resolved the matter quickly and resulted in a better plan than we started with. There was precise attention to detail in all aspects of the reconstruction.

We hired Chaplin to complete a large renovation in our house. The scope included basement finishing, remodeling of our family and powder rooms, tiling the front entrance and painting much of the interior. It was a real joy having Gary and his crew in our house for just over 5 months. They were extremely trustworthy and easy to communicate with. Open and clear communications are essential for a project of this size and this is where Gary delivered. We had a number of excellent brainstorming sessions that resulted in good solutions. His crew was extremely professional, considerate, and accommodating. They did a fantastic job cleaning during and at the end of each day. They vacuumed regularly and used drop clothes and other protective measures to keep our house as clean possible. He doesn't cut corners and his craftsmanship is top shelf. I can highly recommend Chaplin and do look forward to having him complete future renovations in our house.

We began working with Gary & Chaplin Home Improvements after a recommendation from one of my colleagues 5+ years ago. We’ve since completed three bathroom renovations, entire main floor remodel including the removal of structural walls, second floor refinishing, and a significant amount of re-wiring throughout the home. Additionally, CHI subcontracted work on our roof, soffits & eaves, and gas lines. Communication is easy, the job is always well done, and the house was kept clean. They stand by their warranty and will always make things right if you aren’t satisfied. We love that we can hand over a key and let the crew and their sub-contractors come and go as needed. I highly recommend their services & will continue to use them for our home improvement projects.

Gary has done 2 renovations projects for us and we were very pleased with his work. The first was a major master bedroom and en-suite reno and the 2nd a kitchen update requiring backsplash, quartz counters, lighting and painting. Both projects were completed in a timely manner and on budget. Gary works well with other sub contractors to organize a smooth completion of the project. Many thanks to Gary Chaplin and his team of professionals for the fantastic work they did renovating our en-suite bathroom; more accurately put, the work they did transforming our en-suite bathroom into a very modern, ergonomically functional, and aesthetically beautiful space. Working with Gary and his team was truly a pleasure and we were especially pleased by how accessible Gary was throughout the entire project whether to discuss some aspect of the work or to meet up with us at a supplier’s location to discuss design elements or to choose various finishing materials and fixtures. More often than not, Gary was on-site to monitor the work flow and support his crew. Gary was very conscientious, efficient and meticulous in his work. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed having him work in our home. Not only did he give us a beautiful, updated laundry room but every night before he left he cleaned up and left everything neat and tidy. Being without a washer and dryer is extremely inconvenient but Gary worked quickly so that I was not without my machines for long. The next room that we renovate will definitely be done by Gary, even if we have to wait, he is worth it!
